A Refreshing Stop in Waimea Town

When you are navigating the rolling green hills of North Hawaii, finding a spot that balances convenience with genuine local ingredients can be a challenge. Waimea Juice Co. And Hotgrill serves as a reliable anchor for commuters and adventurers alike, sitting comfortably in the heart of Kamuela. The air here often carries that crisp, upcountry chill, making the transition to the shop's warm, inviting kitchen especially welcome.

What to Expect on the Menu

This isn't your typical roadside quick-fix. The kitchen leans heavily into the agricultural bounty of the Big Island. You will find their menu anchored by a commitment to cold-pressed juices that retain the vibrant color and punchy acidity of island-grown citrus and greens. If you stop by for a meal, the hot grill section offers satisfying, no-nonsense fuel; think hearty, flavor-forward dishes designed to power you through a drive toward the Kohala Coast or a hike in the valley.

The Atmosphere

The space feels like a true community hub. You are just as likely to run into local ranchers grabbing a post-work bite as you are tourists mapping out their next waterfall trek. It’s casual, slightly bustling, and occasionally loud during the mid-morning rush, but that is part of the charm. A minor heads-up for those on a tight schedule: the popularity of their signature blends can lead to a queue, but the staff moves with a practiced efficiency that keeps things flowing. Whether you are looking for a vitamin-packed green juice to start your morning or a hot, savory plate to warm up on a rainy Waimea afternoon, this is where the local flavor hits the mark.

We stopped by at this place before our big hike. They have juice, breakfast sandwiches and special Thai dishes. We chose Thai dishes and they were amazing!! Super authentic Thai (I'm Thai), feel like back home. Nice portion, perfect taste! Staff are nice and friendly. The seating is clean and comfortable. Totally recommend. (They might have change the name that is different form Google ; I think now it's Aloha Thai Juice ?)

The best acai I had in all of Kauai. Also tried the bacon and egg sandwich, which was equally incredible. So good I drove back to Waimea a second time just to get it again!

This restaurant is so cute! I wish we had stopped in earlier on our trip so we could have made more than one visit. We came in for breakfast and ordered the Hawaiian Style Egg Sandwich, Sunrise Toast, Waimea Gold Smoothie, and Berry Much Smoothie. The food was excellent. The egg sandwich had a fluffy egg on it, and the sourdough was incredibly fresh and delicious! The tomato was a bit hard, and I would have liked just a touch more cream cheese, but those are minor details. The Sunrise Toast was amazing. It was made on the same fresh sourdough bread. The fruit was perfectly ripe. Again, we would have liked a touch more peanut butter, but that's just personal preference. The smoothies were good and were exactly as described on the menu. Take note, there is no added sugar in them, so they are not as sweet as we imagined they would be. This is not a critique, just not what we expected in a world where added sugar is in everything. This is by far the cleanest restaurant we have visited on the island, and the person working was friendly. They also have some jewelry items and cups of dried fruit and nuts for sale. We would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting the island!

My ACAI bowl was an Elua with granola, banana, strawberry, blueberry, mango juice, passion fruit, pineapple, ginger, turmeric, coconut flakes, and honey. It was very good and well prepared. I also tried the BBQ sandwich and a bagel with cream cheese. We enjoyed the lychee pink lemonade and the passion fruit with li ming mui drinks. The area of the restaurant was more authentic Hawaiian than the other areas around the island we visited. The only drawback is that most restaurants in this area do not have air conditioning. Still, it was nice to see the black sand beach nearby, as well as the huge waves, about 5 minutes from here.

The best Ahi Burger on the island. It includes grilled onion, tomato, and lettuce. Very delicious. And the fries were done perfectly. The owner/operator was very polite and timely. We will go back.

Went on Sunday with my sister and ordered to take out. It took about more 30+ minutes to get our food and I'm not mad about or anything since I saw they were short handed. The Arab guy was nice though. My sister ordered the kalbi wrangler and she was upset that it was only one peice of kalbi and most of it were just salad. I ordered the waimea mix and mac salad. The food was already warm but i still ate it and it was alright. The mac salad on the other hand wasn't really good. It doesn't taste like a mac salad but an expired one and it was very sticky. Sadly, I paid over $80+ for this :/

It was terrible. The waimea juice tasted a little spicy and as horrible as the color it looked. The vegetables in the sandwich were old and spoiled.

The food was so fresh and hot and delicious. Also the staff was very hospitable and attentive. I don't know if we just got lucky because we were the only patrons at the time, but I feel like we were given five star service.
