Great selection of local artisans, some produce, and prepared food! If you are looking for a more small town, local farmers kind of feel, Parker ranch might be the better option, especially for locals buying produce

Every time I’m in Kona I make the drive to the market. They have a great selection of food, flowers and merchandise. I always pick something up from the local bakery, coffee and spice pop ups. Parking is easy and it doesn’t get over crowded. Great for families to visit, shop and enjoy live music!

We visited several of the markets and this is the best as far as selection, freshness, and management. Live music is a nice touch and creates the good vibes. It is clear that the management holds high standards for the vendors balanced with a dose of reality for overall event execution which is needed for success of these markets. The results are positive and it shows. We were sold rotten on the inside produce for higher prices at other markets, but only fresh delicious products come from this market. Be sure to support the good markets like this one. If not, they will go extinct. Bring your reusable shopping bags. Special product recommendations that we tried, purchased, and liked a lot (check specific vendor names on their website): Jim’s jams; crepes, tamales, and passion fruit drink; tarts; pizza and sandwiches; chocolate; fermented vegetables, soups, hibiscus tea; sourdough bread; fresh coconut water (very sweet seller - be sure to ask for the jelly!); fresh produce, especially the mango.

This market has significant potential, and the majority of vendors are truly top-tier. However, the overall market management needs improvement. One vendor was not set up by 8:00 a.m., despite expectations that all vendors should be ready by opening. This created a disorganized impression and reflects poorly on the market as a whole. I was informed that there may be a close relationship between this vendor and the market manager, which raises concerns about consistency and accountability. Additionally, I would advise caution regarding the Thai food tent, as the conditions appeared unsanitary. With better organization and oversight, this market could offer an outstanding experience for both vendors and visitors.

Aloha, We heard great reviews about the Waimea Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. We were happy we followed their suggestion and enjoyed sampling and seeing the various local offerings. The baked goods, fish, fruits, meats, and vegetables had something for everyone. I recommend trying some of the local exotic fruits like apple bananas, cacao, longon, mangoes, Mangosteen, pineapple, and soursop. The Oy's Thai Fusion food was fantastic. We had green curry vegetables, Pad Thai, curry beef, and rice. I wish I had ordered the pineapple stir fried rice because it looked amazing. Enjoy lots of local arts, crafts, and foods with locals who benefit from your patronage. We are from Texas and this is one of the best local vibe places we visited. We are staying at Hilton Ocean Tower about 25 minutes away and so worth the trip. Arrive early. Mahalo PS there is another market and food trucks in Waimea we did not visit and will on next trip.

Arguably the BEST Farmers Market on the Big Island! We visit here every trip. A wide variety of products, goods and places to eat. Definitely worth a visit. Get there early as they open early and close at noon. You'll find something you can't live without. I promise you. Live music always creates a great atmosphere where locals and tourists gather to support LOCAL residents with quality products you won't find anywhere but Big Island. Treat yourself.

Fun weekend market for fresh produce, meats, foods, arts, crafts, jewelry, and other local products all made on the Big Island. I especially enjoyed the BLT I bought from the Mai Bacon stand. Yummy! Fresh fried local bacon, Hawaiian bun, local produce, with a tasty aioli sauce. The macadamia nut caramel tart was tasty from another stand. Elsewhere I had one of the best apple turnovers I’ve ever had. Parking can be a challenge.

This farmers’ market is absolutely amazing. The temperature here is refreshing, and so is the food. Unique, delicious, and rare things fill this mouthwatering place. So many foods to choose from. You must come here!

The Waimea Town Market is a very popular farmer’s market which beautifully locally grown vegetables as well as local bakery products, jewelry and all kinds of local vendors. I know the market is open on Saturdays from 7:30 am til ( I think) noon!
