Sushi Hawaii Rolls & Bowls

I love sushi, so with that being said. For me, this restaurant is more of a fast food sushi joint.

Our family was on vacation visiting Hilo from NY. We were staying in Pahoa for a few days. My daughter and I really wanted some local sushi. We visited Sushi Hawaii Rolls & Bowls and it was great! No one was inside, but as soon as we walked in we were greeted by 2 employees. They were so nice and asked what we would like and made all the food right in front of us. It was amazing. Very clean and delicious.

Friendly service and delicious vegan sushi options ! I esp love they use all local produce , all their ingredients are so fresh and tasty ! They make an amazing “faux ahi” salad and even have some vegan sauces, Thank you guys for offering so many vegan options for sushi !!!

Absolutely loved the food! The service was on point-- first time there.. lunch with my son and hus gurl~~had no idea what to order. I had a poke bowl that was just amazing and refreshing!! Sashimi~garlic crab~sweet potato~aoli sauce~ponzu sauce ~tempura flakes to top it off. Delicious!! Definitely will be back!

One of the best poke bowls I’ve ever had… and I’ve had a lot! Faux ahi (tomato, wakame and a secret sauce blend) plus delicious raw mushrooms, purple sweet potato slices… heavenly! Recommended for vegans!

AHHHHHHmazing! every step of the way ..ON POINT! The rice was perfect, the sashimi was perfect, spicy tuna filling was perfect... coming back for more! Looking forward to Waikoloa!!!

We decided to stop here to grab a quick bite to eat on our way to Hilo. We are opening a new spa location in Hilo, called Honolulu Spa & Wellness, and we have to depend on small take out restaurants like this one, because we have no time to cook at home. I was very impressed with this sushi place. Definitely not a place I expected in Pahoa. The interior is modern, very clean and nicely decorated, without being overbearing. I liked the dark stone counters, they look nice, but also easy to disinfect. Everything inside was super clean, you could tell the carting touch of the owner everywhere. I believe that it was the owner that was preparing our rolls, his moves were fluid, well rehearsed, he was just very captivating to look at. I filmed him at word, for your viewing pleasure. Our food was just delicious. I just felt a pang of regret when my roll disappeared, it was super tasty. We will definitely eat here again, and I recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly!

First experience there was amazing. Almost like a chipotle style ordering for sushi. There are a huge variation of proteins and fillings to customize your own sushi rolls bowls or hand wraps. The staff there was so accommodating and helpful. Probably the best customer service I’ve seen. They totally help you make extremely delicious sushi combinations just in case you don’t know what you want like me lol thx guys! Everything there was super fresh and clean just a matter of you creating your sushi masterpiece! Another cool thing about this place is that they sell these amazing looking sushi cakes I saw a lady walk out with if you have a party or large event. But overall amazing concept, great sushi and the best staff! Will definitely be coming back to Sushi Hawaii Rolls and Bowls!
