The man that runs the bar is a human on earth..yet metaphorically speaking..he is a GURDIAN ANGEL..very well possibly infact he saved my life or money as in he stopped an armed robbery and biotoxic/chemical poisoning and whatever events would have occured after that. God Bless your land and keep the Lava at bay so I may come drink "Fresh Kava," with the most amazing people on earth again. God shines through the eyes of your people. Excellent atmosphere and great vibes from everyone. They had open mic the night we were there and people were having a great time jamming. The kava was good and the staff was helpful with helping us decide what to order.

always a happy experience. super nice people. relaxing, cozy , creative and curious environment (with great lighting). lots of seating indoor and outdoor. options to draw with lots of blank paper and markers. really great and unique selection of kombucha, kava items and more :) i have social anxiety but always feel comfortable and welcomed here :)

This place has a 'je ne sais quoi' like no other.. !! the kava they served 'issa' was locally grown down the road! They also sold 'Noni' (a local fruit) shot, they are grown up the street!! These kids know how to give you an authentic Hawaiian kava experience. Pahoa is such a charming little village of a town. Aloha and Mahalo 🤙

I spent multiple days hanging out here. I love the atmosphere and staff is wonderful! They have Open mic night Monday, Reggae night and karaoke night as well. Ginger and turmeric shots were wonderful. Their kambuche is amazing on tap!

We stopped by after a rainy day at the beach and were drawn in by the atmosphere. The bartender was awesome at explaining what Kava was. We tried two kinds and enjoyed our time here. Try something new and enjoy good company * and great music. Thank you for introducing us to Kava and Nahko!
