Unique experience visitors should do once. VERY organized & time efficient. The host, music, food service, dancing was wonderful. Buffet options were great (fish, chicken, pulled pork, brisket, breads, salad, 2 rice options vegetable curry). Only downfall was visibility - tables were set up in rows of perpendicular to the stage on flat ground. Tiered or round table seating would have helped. Otherwise great night!

Highly recommend! First luau for our party of four! We arrived at 515 for our 6PM show, donned our lei, got our group photo, & then had to wait in line [in the shade] until 6 when the venue was opened. Initially we were little perturbed by this lengthy wait however, because we arrived early, we were seated directly off the stage. If you want the BEST view, spring for the upgraded seats & arrive early. The wait is worth it! The price sets high bar… you won’t be disappointed! Again, get the upgraded seats! You’ll have a dedicated server, unlimited drinks [try the Green Gecko], and SO MUCH delicious food. Adults, resist the urge to eat early from the kids buffet. 😂 They’ll allow it but you want to save your stomach room for the main buffet. Great show… Hawaiian cowboys in skinny jeans, hula girls, classic awkward group hula lesson, a fire twirler, post-show photo ops, this night has it all! 🤠🌺🔥

My son and I had the opportunity to attend the Legends Luau on Mother's Day. We loved every second of the curated evening full of Hawaiian culture, the history of the Islands, the phenomenal dancers and singing, the heartfelt mana. And, we were thrilled it was a family that created the show. It's located at the Waikoloa Hilton Beach Resort. We walked to it from the Palace Tower. The food was delicious! And, everyone in attendance was full of joy to see this show. Thank you kindly for the blessing prayer.

This is a must-do experience when visiting Hawaii! We splurged on the ali'i experience and definitely felt it was worth it, as it meant we were steps away from the stage and got to eat earlier than the rest of the atendees. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. The food was to die for! The peformers were so talented and the show was incredible and they even got the audience participating a couple of times! We'd definitely recommend this to anyone else visiting the big island.

Yes, it is pricey. It isn’t much more if at all more expensive than alternatives, and you can’t beat the convenience if you are staying at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. Nearby Hilton properties have a shuttle to get here as well. We paid a little extra for the ali’i seating, and it was completely worth the extra $30/person. We also saved about that much by booking it over the phone through the Hilton concierge, vs the Fare Harbor site. General seating sell out for our show, even though we were in shoulder season. Ali’i seating is closer, basically gets pre-seated as long as you show up during the exclusive period 30 minutes before the show. You can line up for the checkin about 30 minutes earlier, and for at least our show the seating was closest the earlier you were. You also take pictures (which are mostly photoshopped and corny) after checking in, so you could easily be seated almost an hour before general seating folks. Unlimited drinks as soon as you walk in at 5pm, and our server brought you out wha you had once you were halfway done. With Ali’i, the server gets the drinks for you. You also get to eat before everyone else; General seating who were last to arrive basically got their food as the main show started. Some of the food didn’t quite blow us away considering the price point, but it was certainly good and tons of variety. Show was very fun and you can take pictures with all the performers afterwards if you would like (for free).

I purchased the VIP luau experience, which was priced at over $300 per person, and unfortunately it did not meet expectations for that price point. Upon arrival, we were escorted to the photo area and received a beautiful real orchid lei. This was genuinely lovely and honestly the most “lux” aspect of the entire experience. We were then taken to our VIP seating and offered cocktails. While there were six cocktail options, the liquor selection was very limited and disappointing for a premium experience. The bar offerings were essentially vodka and rum, and the vodka provided was Gordon’s, which felt extremely low-end considering the cost. At this price point, I expected the option to choose higher-quality spirits for cocktails. The food was another major letdown. The appetizers consisted of taro chips with dip, pickled cucumbers, and edamame. For a luau—especially a VIP one—I expected at least some form of protein such as shrimp or another seafood option. The buffet itself had a few decent items, but overall it was underwhelming. *What was particularly off-putting was the lack of sneeze guards at the buffet. The food was completely exposed, and there were children coughing, reaching into dishes, and touching food with their hands. This was very disturbing and significantly detracted from the experience. When the show began, the stage décor was sparse and underwhelming, with little to no visual impact. It did not feel particularly authentic or immersive. The cast was small—approximately three male performers, about half a dozen women, and a few musicians/drummers. The fire performance was the highlight of the show, though even that felt average for a luau. That said, I do want to commend the staff. The waitstaff and service team were exceptional—kind, attentive, accommodating, and genuinely friendly. They were the strongest part of the experience and deserve recognition. I hate to say, this luau did not justify the $300+ VIP price tag. With better food quality, improved sanitation practices, upgraded beverage options, and a more polished and authentic show, this experience could be significantly improved. As it stands, I would not consider it a good value for the cost

First ever luau. It was great! Food was delicious and more than you could eat, but you'll want to try it all. You are greeted with a beautiful lei, and then your picture taken with your group, which is ready at the end of the evening. Your choice of Mai Tai or Blue Hawaiian as you are taken to your seat. Long tables perpendicular to the stage. Pupus on the table to share. Veggie chips and dip, Hawaiian pickles, spicy edamame. Dinner is buffet style. Plentiful food and desserts. Hawaiian cocktails, wine, beer. With the upgraded seating, you will have table service for cocktails, otherwise you will queue at the bar. Drinks are included. Very nice show. Talented dancers, musicians, and an emcee. Limited audience participation if you are chosen/willing.

This was truly a great event. I do recommend tickets in advance and the preferred seating. Mind you the cost is possibly more than many will think its worth, for preferred seating. The food was very good and a great variety. The host 'Hoku' is a true performer. He narrates and sets up the performances wonderfully and sings pretty well. The performances/dances are beautiful, powerful and captivating. They are truly realistic as the main male performer with the fire stick dance miss handled one and did injure himself, I do hope, and sure he will be alright. But he kept going and really gave his all for us, Mahalo. The performance which stood out to me the most was the story of Poli'ahu, the goddess of snow. The other 3 female performers, at one point, sat and watched the female performer portraying the goddess. You could see in their eyes how much these traditional performances mean to all Hawaiian's. It was very touching and rather moving. I and my wife appreciated this Luau very much because of these authentic performers. I can definitely say there is much Aloha at this event. 100% recommend.

If I had the opportunity to book this show again, I'm not sure I would. This place feels like a zoo. I recommend driving a little farther to avoid the crowds and find a better deal. I was misled about seating when I made the reservation; staff members choose the seating.Lots of food options and unlimited drinks. Priority ticket holders get much better food, such as short ribs and a few other extra options. The process of entering the show was very chaotic. They take photos while you wait in line. Although they claim it’s first come, first served, priority seating allows certain guests to enter first, regardless of their arrival time. The show was scheduled to start at 5 PM, but we waited in line from 4:15 PM until after 5:15 PM. When we finally reached the front kiosk to check in, we were still not allowed inside until all the priority ticket holders had entered, which only made the line longer for both priority and general admission guests. I do not recommend this experience at this resort. While it may be convenient to book while staying in the area, I suggest going a little farther to the Outrigger Kona Resort and Spa.
