Island Fish & Chips

We had delicious Ono fish and chips and a fish taco plate. They were very generous portions, lightly breaded, not greasy. The French fries were good.

Way overpriced for what you get. The chicken sandwich is a pre-formed pre-fried circular mashed chicken patty (like you buy at Costco). Definitely not woth $17. Their fried fish isn't much better. There is no mix and match with their multiple entree platters, so when I asked for 4 chicken strips with fries (double chicken entrée rather than a chicken and fish), they refused to do it. So if you've got a hungry teenager that wants more than 2 chicken strips in their meal, you're buying multiple single entree chicken meals at $17.49 each. I've never had a restaurant refuse that before. The only good part is the location is great as you can sit and eat by a small lake next to a golf course.

The coconut shrimp and fries were great, but the fish was not crispy and the crab cakes tasted frozen.

This is one of the more affordable eating options in the area, that said, still not cheap. It’s hard to mess up fried food, and most of what you get here is decent, but not exceptional. I can’t rate it higher than a 3.5, it is what it is.

Delicious fried Wahoo (Ono) very mild fish. French fries crispy like i enjoy. Nice outdoor seating. Area hidden from main strip.

Food was excellent. Basically a take out stand. View would have been nicer in the day. Tables located in a low light outdoor pavillion. Fish is very fresh, great tempura batter, great fries, coleslaw - ok. Interesting chili pepper infused vinegar was a optional condiment. We shared an order of 3 pieces of fresh catch ono. Good light meal. Very satisfying. Low key, not fancy about $20.

We both had combo plates. I with fish chips and Tempura vegetables and her with shrimp , fries and Tempura fried vegetables. Was good served hot for a few minutes, but as it cooled tasted and re-tasted of old oil. Fish was great except it was 2 small fingers , I should say small as fish sticks even though I saw the cook batter, then drop into fryer the two pieces. There was at least 6 pieces of Hawaiian vegetables something tender red may have been a sweet potato, a purple?, orange another undefined and last green zucchini. One thin slick one thicker tastier. The shrimp combo had four small #20 fried shrimp. Pineapple coleslaw slaw was tasty. But small, the chips/fries hot and crispy but we did not finish them as they got cold not tasty, as they had after taste. I just wished I had just stuck with fish only as vegetables did not excite and I burped later.

The reviews are spot on. One of the best fish & chips I have ever had in my life. Fresh fish catch of the day, freshly cooked crispy fries. Ladies cooking inside are super nice. Lots of outside seating tables with an awesome view. Highly recommended.

Delicious fast food, a little bit expensive for fast food but everything was tasty and fresh. We had too wait about 30 min to get our food between the line for ordering and waiting to get the order done. Seating was difficult to find because it was too busy around dinner time. The place quiet and the gazebo has a nice view

Everything was really good! On point with the crispiness of the fried food in general. The meat was tender and delicious, pretty much cooked to perfection. I loved the tarter sauce they had too, very tasty and goes well with not just fish and chips, but everything else we ordered too. Good seasoning as wellEverything was really good!
