We got a variety of different types of mochi. One of their bestsellers is the strawberry mochi which has red bean paste as well so it was an interesting combo. We went later on in the day, they didn't have a line but I hear it gets super busy and the line can get quite long.

A Hilo must for Mochi lovers! Placed order on Thursday for Saturday pickup. per Sticker instructions, wrapped box in aluminum foil before placing in ziploc to freeze. Hand-carried large assorted box to Honolulu; and mochi was still chilled, fresh, and deliciously soft by the time we got home❣️😋 Mahalo nui to everyone at Two Ladies Kitchen for nearly 20 years of dedication in proving quality goodies in Hilo! 🌺🤙🏼💚

If you’re visiting the Big Island, you need to stop here. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine Aloha that made the experience feel so much more special than just grabbing dessert. Everyone talks about the famous “Two Ladies” Strawberry Mochi — and yes, it absolutely lives up to the hype — fresh, soft, perfectly sweet, and honestly one of the best treats we had on the island. But what surprised us most was how delicious everything else was too. The staff were incredibly kind, warm, and fun to talk story with while we picked out goodies to take home. You can tell they truly care about their customers and the experience they create. It does get busy for good reason, so I’d definitely recommend calling ahead with a phone order if you can. This place is absolutely worth the stop and worth supporting.

First thing first: order ahead of time. If you missed the window, you don’t get mochi—-that straight up and easy. The mochi choices there are awesome. Read their online menu and find out what everything is on your own time. It’s a small business and they should not waste time on explaining what everything is. Respect their time and the local cuisine. Don’t be annoying! With all that said, unless you are allergic to anything, everything is heavenly delicious! We ordered the 20 pcs box, every flavor was just fantastic!

If you think you’ve had "authentic" mochi because you’ve visited Japan, Two Ladies Kitchen is here to completely reset your expectations. It’s a bold claim, but the craftsmanship here feels even more soulful and refined than many of the high-end shops I’ve visited in Tokyo or Kyoto.

There is almost always a big line to enter this tiny little storefront and order some of the most exquisite, beautiful mochi you’ll ever taste or see. Make sure there are some fruit-filled mochis in your order. The bing cherry is a work of art (as are all the mochis here, to be honest).

Amazing experience! We ordered the strawberry, apple, orange, lilikoi, cherry and peanut butter. Everyone had a different favorite but they were all amazing and they gave us a few extra strawberry mochis! We will definitely be back for more.

10/10 experience. We ordered 12 mochis (6 strawberry, 1 chichi, 2 peach, 1 grape, 1 strawberry shortcake, and 1 butter) and they gave us 16 with 4 extra strawberry ones! The total came out to be around $36. The prices are reasonable and lower than other mochi spots I’ve tried, and the quality is great. I find that a lot of places put too much red bean and it’s too sweet, but this place had the perfect balance. I would recommend ordering ahead though, because there was already a line at 10 (when the store opened). Staff were friendly and service was efficient. I got my order a couple minutes after I arrived.
