Maybe one day the owner will start considering her customers and stop having HUGE wait times. 2 years it hasn't changed. She obviously doesnt care. Maybe one day she will be recognized for great service and not just as a diversity owner!!!

Staff sucks for takeaways/dine-in. My recommendation to everyone is - just do the drive through. The staff prioritizes drive through orders even when orders placed in store have been waiting for a long time. After waiting forever, I asked the guy at the cash register to check on my order status - he didnt even bother checking with the cooks. Just stated 5-10mins. I asked him again if he would at least check for the actual remaining time since I had already waited so long - to which he refused and just repeated the generic answer. So I got my order canceled and refunded. Either skip this location altogether or get into the drive through. They will only give you food if you hold up others it seems.

Taco Bell Hilo is the best one on the island. For veg options, no meat/cheese/sour cream… you can order “fresco” style & they substitute pico de gallo. Thank you for being open & having great customer service. (Unlike kona side)

I was in Hilo this week with family and we decided to visit this location an overheard one of the staff mention something about hating gay people and laughing about the incident at the Pulse nightclub. I'm not sure who it was that said all this, but I heard the name Tim get brought up and he was getting reprimanded by his other coworkers. I understand that people have different social and political views, but to laugh at a traumatizing event that happened years ago really made me uncomfortable and makes me wonder what kind of people taco bell hires. Other than that, the service was great and even though it was busy, I managed to get my food at a reasonable time.

8/26 9pm Due to a payment error (this has happened at this location before), I was told to drive up & come inside to pay. Park, front door is locked. Ignored for 5 minutes. A Large gentleman finally comes over and was very hostile, saying dining room is closed. I understand but was told just minutes before to come in to pay. Finally a manager by the name "Cherry" continued with the same hostility saying her employee was wrong & refused to even sell me or issue me my food for free. Very, very unprofessional establishment.. Just wanted a couple chalupas

I just got home my order was totally wrong and I called for a refund. The girl who answered oscillated between hysterical laughter and fake crying, yelling to other employees ridiculing me (who was being very nice and chill btw) I asked to speak to someone else and she was like, "sawy, I am Crystal I am only manager on duty" in like a weird fake baby voice and I was like, "can I please just talk to any other employee?" And then another woman got on the phone who was very nice and resolved my issue but like I am more irritated at that horrendously uncomfortable phone call then I am for them screwing up my order in the first place. They offered me a credit, but I definitely don't trust eating food from this place anymore- this girl was crazy. I've seen too many tiktoks by unsupervised teens in fast food lol. And like I get it, people are making minimum wage and hate their jobs, I try to be understanding and super polite to service workers but this girl was unhinged and so rude for no reason; Im sure I would be horrified to see the food preparation behind the scenes.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Taco Bell location due to the behavior of a manager named Maria. As a disabled veteran, I disclosed my PTSD to her, seeking some understanding or accommodation, but instead, I was met with laughter and complete disrespect. This incident was not only humiliating but also deeply upsetting. The lack of empathy and professionalism shown by Maria is unacceptable, particularly in a customer service environment. Her actions have ensured that I will not return to this location, and I strongly recommend that corporate take a serious look into how their managers treat vulnerable customers. This kind of behavior reflects poorly on the brand and should not be tolerated. I urge Taco Bell corporate to address this issue to prevent future occurrences and to restore some faith in their commitment to customer respect and dignity.

If you like gambling, come to this taco bell. I ordered 2 crunch wraps and 2 bean and cheese burritos. Everyone working there was shouting slurs faster than eminem in rap god. After waiting 35 minutes I went up and talked to them and they finally gave me my order, which was just sitting there ready to go for however long. The cashier was SO HIGH he could barely string a sentence together, and he just kept saying random nonsense while pointing at my food, so I said "sure thing bro" and just walked away. After I got home and checked, I realized they shorted me a crunch wrap, however, when they made the bean and cheese burritos they added hella ground beef instead of beans, which was neat.
