Fantastic burgers! Like look at this thing! Absolutely love it here when we visit the Hilo side of the island.

Had the fish tacos (ono) - Asked for more sauce as the tacos were a tad bit dry & the sauce was so good! My hubby had the nachos. He wasn’t a huge fan of the wasabi but I thought they were delicious! The server was friendly!

We went to Cronies and James suggested we try the most amazing creme brulee bread pudding, covered in carmel and served with ice cream. We renamed it Date Night for Lonely Girls because it was so amazing you don't need anything else to make you happy. Seriously amazing!! The rest of the food was good too but man, that dessert! 10 out of 10, recommend!!

I have ate at Cronies several times and they have great food and service! The reason for this review, however is my experience there today. My best friend from Texas was visiting and we had been walking and shopping out in the heat for quite awhile. We are both senior citizens and great grandmothers and realized we needed water. We stopped in at Cronies to see if it would be possible to just order water. We were promptly given two to-go cups of water on the house! Thank you Cronies!

We had a great duvet there this evening, I had a nice Ono salad, my wife and mother in-law had decided to share a turkey club, the kitchen actually separated the meal onto 2 plates for them. That was a nice touch. The wait staff very nice and the meal was served rather quickly. I would love to eat there again

Great little bar and grill with wide variety of food. Yes, extremely close to water, but disappointed (as tourists) we couldn't see the ocean from the location. That's OK tho. Our server was amazing!!! He went above and beyond and gave us so many great recommended local recs of places to go and visit. Unfortunately we were staying in Kona, so we were only in Hilo for the day.

Decided to go out for some playoff football this year. Tried Cronies for the first time, and ended up going back again for the next playoff game. Great staff and great food!

I would give zero stars except that the fried pickles, although sparse in quantity, were good. I'd say we received the equivalent of a medium-size pickle. For a $13 appetizer, the portion should be larger. The burger was a frozen, pre-formed patty. The onion rings are not homemade, either. Service was incredibly slow. The men's bathroom was so dirty and stained that the men in our group refused to use it. Everyone was very disappointed.

Yay! This place was great. We sat at the bar and really enjoyed talking with our bartender. We had the nachos and the pupu steak. The steak was a bit overdone but with the help of a little steak sauce it was pretty good. The nachos were amazing. Give this place a try.

Wide open bar area and second level with more tables. Small stage on the left side about mid bar. Main bar area is right in the middle of the building. Looks to be about 18-24 tables that seat mainly 4 and a few with 2. No outdoor seating. Live music is setup on the small stage by local artists every Thursday and Friday night from 1830-2030. Wife and I had two different burgers, one with rings and one with tots. Both had an upcharge for not getting fries of $2 per burger. Burgers were well cooked and very moist. Buns were soft and toppings were crisp and fresh. I added a fried egg and was not disappointed. Menu was normal bar food and some entrees. Looks to be 16 or 17 large TV's for sports and regular bar background music playing. They use Direct TV so each TV can be tuned to different events. Food service was fast, friendly and there was no wait for drinks or food. There are about 18-19 taps for beer and regular domestic selections in bottle as well. On a side note, the fees being added are getting quite overdone. Hawaii tax is not that much but add-ons for credit card and surcharge fees are getting out of hand.
