Large supermarket with wide range and best fresh fruit, veggies and salad section for out of main towns in Big Island. Fresh meat section good too and they had local fresh marlin and tuna plus Alaskan salmon steaks. Usual expensive Hawaii pricing but not more than others as far as I could tell.

Produce manager short changes local farmers. Find a store that is more ethical!

Poke is very salty. I’m convinced the chef’s salt shaker lid fell off, and they just decided, 'Yeah, this is fine.' I took one bite and my kidneys immediately started a group chat to discuss our retirement plans.

I have shopped at choicemart for 10 years, I really enjoy the wide selection of organic and local food. I have noticed things on sale often do not ring up on sale, be mindful of that. There is also a cashier who steals your change if you pay in cash, several times I have caught her giving less change than is owed and she knows what she is doing, be careful of that as well.

Delicious poke! Since it was our first time on the Big Island we couldn't miss trying out the local grocery store poke, and the poke from ChoiceMART did not disappoint! I tried both the Spicy Hawaiian ahi and the sesame ahi and loved both. My girlfriend also loved her Hawaiian style ahi and spicy ahi. The staff member (who was really kind) also let us know which poke was fresh and which were frozen. This distinction was really helpful, and the portions were generous. Our poke from ChoiceMART was some of the best we've had in Hawaii and I will definitely be back next time I'm in Kona.

A nice quick stop to grab recently the price grocery items.

Nice small town store, where the locals know where the good coffee brew is at, and staff is good natured about cleaning up the spills. The meat selection is very good.

Great selection of food at reasonable prices on the Captain Cook side of the island. You can find your normal “Walmart” products here as well fresh fish and sushi.

I was pleasantly surprised to find such a well-stocked supermarket with long hour outside of town. Good selection of organic & natural packaged foods (crackers, baking ingredients, chocolate, frozen desserts), and local produce, too. Yay. We need more local produce in our lives ! Prices are reasonable for the island.
