Oh. My. Goodness. Best dinner and experience of my life!! We went here for dinner after my engagement- my fiancé (unbeknownst to me) called ahead to request a special table, they had menus custom made with our names, and the service was absolutely incredible. They sat us at the BEST table in the restaurant and greeted us with champagne. Tiffany, our waitress, was an absolute angel. I cannot recommend this place enough- the service and food are irreplaceable. See you soon!!!

We had an exceptional experience at Merriman’s! My husband brought me here to celebrate my birthday, and everything was truly memorable. The welcome was warm, and the view was stunning. We were taken care of by Carmen, who was efficient, attentive, and very friendly throughout the evening. The food was delicious, and overall, the experience offered great value for the price. If you mention that you’re celebrating a special occasion, they go the extra mile: we were welcomed with a glass of prosecco, given a personalized menu, and treated to a special dessert: such a thoughtful touch. Thank you for making my birthday so special!

We snagged a last-minute reservation to grab seats at the bar. It ended up being our favorite meal on Maui by far! My husband ordered the chef’s special, and I had the filet—both were absolutely incredible and cooked perfectly. We finished with the banana bread pudding, and for our anniversary they surprised us with a complimentary s’mores dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. The bartenders were friendly, attentive, and happy to answer questions and make recommendations. Between the amazing food, exceptional service, and beautiful atmosphere, this was a truly memorable dining experience. We highly recommend making a visit if you’re on Maui! 🌺✨

Wow-wee-wow what a meal. We had a wonderful dinner that left us picking out plates and asking for more. Everything from apps to deserts was fantastic. My expectations were mid, but they were blown away by the flavors, diversity of ingredients, and homogamy of Eve coming together. The staff was nice and our server was polite and friendly. The complemtary valet was great too. Oh, the best part, it's hella vegan friendly!

Loved our evening dinner at Merriman's. We were taken cared of as soon as I hit that reservation button. It was a birthday dinner and we were asked how they can make the evening even more special. From fresh flower leis (additional cost), personalized menus, and that birthday dessert. We were greeted by name by the hostess and immediately lead to our table. Our lovely wait staff gave champagne for the birthday person and wine for us as well. Explained the menu clearly as well as the evening's specials. The food was quite exceptional. Everything was plated beautifully and the flavors are most exquisite. It was quite a drive to the restaurant though, going through a lot of residential areas but Google Maps got us there. (Not a sponsor) Definitely a must dining experience when in Maui. Plan ahead and get reservations early!

Strongly recommend making a reservation well in advance. Offers free valet parking. Arrived early to catch sunset and were able to sit on their large cliff side deck. Drinks were adequately priced. Was seated at my reservation time. Waiter was outstanding. Even though the restaurant was crowded they allowed us to order at our own pace. The sommelier did an excellent job with wine selections based on meal and flavor preferences. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Before coming to Hawaii would recommend doing research on their local fishes.

A wonderful evening for our last day on Maui at Merriman's! We had the best time here. We arrived about an hour before our reservation to enjoy Mai Tais at the point (we ordered at the bar and stood by the bar tables enjoying the view) and it was lovely! The Merriman Mai Tais are the best on the island. For dinner, we ordered the ceviche (our fav), the lobster and avocado salad, chow fun noodles, the macadamia nut fresh catch, fish special of the night, and the pineapple bread pudding. Every dish was delicious and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend

First time dining here as a customer since maybe 2015? I tend to eat here more often as a wedding vendor photographing events. Honestly though whether as a guest or vendor this place always turns out phenomenal food. If your main concern is quality, fresh and thoughtful food then Merriman’s is your answer. They’re great with celiac or allergies and the servers are all top notch.

My husband and I are on Maui on our honeymoon and had an amazing time at Merrimans! We sat at the bar and made reservations in advance. However you could try to come without a reservation with bar seating. The view was amazing! The two bartenders were so kind and attentive. We loved all of our food. We made it in time for some of the happy hour items, the truffle fries and sliders were so tasty. For dinner we shared the pick half of each entree and it was great. We were also congratulated on our marriage with glasses of champagne and a beautiful dessert to end our meal. Would absolutely come again.

Merriman’s Kapalua is a very nice restaurant with a beautiful setting- though unfortunately it was too dark and windy tonight to really enjoy the view everyone talks about. The food, however, was fresh and flavorful across the board. We started with the complimentary bread service and the little shot of soup- both a nice touch. The Ceviche Aguachile was one of our favorites of the night- the citrus sauce was bright and zesty, and we ended up dipping our bread in it because it was so good. The Chow Fun Noodles with Pork & Shrimp were excellent- full of flavor. The Charred Ahi Tuna was another standout- perfectly seared with that smoky charred flavor we loved. The white fish special with shrimp was tasty too, though a bit on the salty side. Drinks were okay- we skipped the Mai Tai since it’s the same as Monkeypod (same restaurant group) and went for dirty martinis instead, but they were nothing special and definitely overpriced at $26 each. Service was the one real miss. It took about 10–15 minutes before anyone came over to our table after we were seated, and throughout dinner, our dirty plates sat on the table for a while even as new dishes arrived. It didn’t ruin the meal, but for a restaurant at this level and price point, we expected better attention to detail. Overall, it was a great dinner- very expensive with somewhat small portions, but the quality and flavors made it worth experiencing at least once while in Maui. We also enjoyed the little brownie to-go dessert they give you after dinner.
