The Restaurant At Hotel Wailea

Very delicious fresh fish. I do however think the prices for everything are extremely high, taste amazing but VERY smallll portioned entrees. The birdcage restaurant at the same hotel seems better priced and still has a very nice ambiance. Service was great though. Very friendly staff from valet, host and servers. For the price though, I want to at least leave full.

Stellar experience, bang for buck is 1000% there. Its not cheap but the food and service is well worth the cost. Our family of four went for a celebration and they really blew us out of the water. Our waitress was amazing 👏 the food was possibly the best meal we've ever eaten. My only complaint is that I went on the last day of my trip so I cant go again untill I return!

Maui has always felt like a bit of a "culinary desert" to us. Even the legendary spots like Merriman’s and Mama’s Fish House—notoriously expensive and nearly impossible to book—seem to have little left to offer beyond their atmosphere. Tonight, we decided to try the restaurant tucked inside the island’s only Relais & Châteaux property. Travel + Leisure has ranked it among the world’s best for nine consecutive years, calling it "the hidden garden of the whispering palms." While the setting is undeniably beautiful, we personally still prefer the convenience of being able to step straight out onto the beach. Our waiter tonight happened to be a sommelier, and he noted with some pride that the hotel boasts the most extensive wine list in the country. Since we aren't heavy drinkers, we opted for a moderately priced half-bottle of Nuits-Saint-Georges from Burgundy. It was a rare, noteworthy meal. We watched the sun dip below the horizon where the sea meets the sky, enjoying a few standout dishes: The Highlight: A New York State foie gras paired with a French Sauternes. The Entrée: Snake River Farms Wagyu—rich and buttery without being greasy—served with local tomato hearts. The Surprise: Grilled Big Island Kanpachi, which had a wonderful smoky char and a natural sweetness we hadn't experienced even when visiting the Big Island itself. Dessert: A light Ube cheesecake with a macadamia nut crust. Finally, a dining experience on the island actually worth writing about.

An absolutely sophisticated dining experience! The atmosphere is incredibly calm and cozy, perfect for a romantic night out. I personally loved their "no-kids" policy—it makes the ambiance so much more peaceful and intimate. The food was delicious. We ordered the steak and lobster, and both were cooked to perfection. But the real star was the cheesecake; honestly, it’s one of the best cheesecakes you can find in the US. Highly recommended!

Was a very cool experience! Honestly this was the fanciest restaurant my fiance and I had ever been to, as we live in a rural community. The service was just right, not overbearing. Our server explained each dish as it came out. Definitely on the pricey side, but I no regrets as we were celebrating an engagement!
