About
A Mediterranean Escape in the Heart of Wailea
Stepping into L’kena feels like trading the heavy humidity of South Maui for the crisp, salt-kissed breezes of the Aegean coast. Tucked away within the upscale enclave of Wailea, this dining destination focuses on a refined approach to Mediterranean cuisine that feels both intentional and refreshingly light. The dining room carries a deliberate hush, broken only by the rhythmic clinking of cutlery against ceramic plates and the soft, ambient hum of ocean-front hospitality.
The Culinary Philosophy
The kitchen leans heavily into the intersection of island-grown produce and classic European techniques. You will find that the menu celebrates the local catch; the seared ahi often features a precise, cumin-forward crust that grounds the delicacy of the fish. Their commitment to sourcing extends to the herb garden, where rosemary and thyme influence the aromatic profile of the roasted lamb—a dish that arrives smelling of woodsmoke and sun-dried earth.
Know Before You Go
The aesthetic is minimalist and airy, making it a natural fit for anniversary dinners or quiet celebrations where conversation is the priority. Be prepared for the valet line, which can get congested during the peak sunset hour as the after-beach crowd descends upon the Wailea circuit. While the service is polished and attentive, the pace is decidedly relaxed; this is a space designed for lingering over a second glass of crisp white wine rather than rushing through a meal. If you are seated near the open-air perimeter, you might catch the faint, rhythmic sound of the Pacific crashing against the distant shoreline, providing a natural soundtrack to your evening.

Very friendly staff. Comfortable and clean sturdy picnic style tables. Counter/ bar service available. Fun and lively atmosphere with several high mounted television monitors. Clean and comfortable restrooms. The pizzas are made to order. Great crust. Several specialty pizzas and a build-your-own option. Sandwiches made with fresh ingredients. Check QR menu for selection and prices. Complete bar with beer and spirits. Plenty of free parking in front of the location and on an adjacent street. Call to confirm hours or order ahead. Take out available.

Didn’t eat in so service and atmosphere don’t really apply. A disgusting undercooked pool of cheese with very small amount of toppings. Can’t even tell the where the pieces of pizza were cut, all melted together! Definitely never ordered the pizza rare. Spend $33 on a pepperoni pizza somewhere else!

BEST PIZZA! AMAZING SERICE!! SO MUCH FUN FOR ALL AGES!! (Free arcade and toys to play with!!) KRISTAN and all the gals were the most friendly and impressive staff from start to finish. We always feel so welcomed and comfortable with the family and food is always yummy and fresh tasting! Raises the bar for dining on Maui!

Pizza was good, not great. Alfredo had little to no sauce on it. Philly cheesesteak had no cheese?? Service was great. Nothing was "bad" but definitely not what we are used to. Wouldn't come back.

Didn’t have a great experience and was excited to try this place after looking at the reviews. Pizza honestly tasted like Costco, which isn’t terrible, but also not great especially for the price. Service was one of the worst we had on the island. Our group didn’t feel welcomed at all and we are a chill group. The worst part was when they messed up our order, they didn’t apologize and made us feel bad for their mistakes.. we just felt very awkward.

We have ordered jalapeño poppers and veggie pizza. We couldn’t even complete 2 slices of pizza, it was tasting very bad. Do not order pizza here, you will be disappointed for sure. The pizza crust also tasted very bad.jalapeños poppers tasted like they have reheated the frozen ones

Great food & very friendly staff. One of our best dining experiences on Maui! Happy hour wings are A+++. Also shared a 1/2 meat lovers and half bbq chicken pizza and as a Chicago transplant, I can honestly say this is the best pizza we've had anywhere in a very long time. Good beer selection served ice cold. Delicious ice cream cookie sandwiches. Ordered the cinnamon bites to go and they are addictive!! Lastly, the service from Keno was phenomenal! His Aloha welcoming spirit made for a memorable dining experience. We highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

Easy five stars! I regularly go here for dinner, or a beer and a bite while running Kihei errands. As far as food goes, their pizza is FANTASTIC; reminds me of my childhood pizza place l'd go to growing up. I've also had their philly cheese steaks and wings which are awesome. Plus they make their own ranch! | put it on everything. Staff is always friendly and personable, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming! Highly recommend

Wonderful atmosphere with great service! One of the most responsible priced restaurants we’ve been to in this island. The wings were very good and extra crispy! We got the Salt and Vinegar and loved them! The pizza is good! The menu says it’s thin crust, but it’s not. Decent amount of pork on our Kalua Pork Pizza. Would’ve liked about double just to get an adequate amount in each slice. Pineapple is from a can. Not bad but would LOVE to have some local Maui Gold triangles on the pizza.
