Not sure what the 2 and 3 stars are about but, I had an amazing experience with my wife last night! The atmosphere, service, food, and drinks were amazing! We were given suggestions from the bartenders. I really loved the Octopus!!! The pork belly was great as well but I definitely want to come back for the Octopus and another pour the the Glenmorangie Signet! I can buy my own bottle but I can't have it at the bar with this view. The other drinks were amazing as well! Loved the RUM PUNCH! Special Mahalo to Ben and Mark! Excellent customer service! We almost cancelled the reservation because of the bad reviews here, but we decided to go and it was the best decision. The staff were so friendly and acknowledged of everything in the menu and really helpful. The food was fresh and delicious. They also congratulated us with our anniversary and made a little signage on the cakes. It was so sweet. The atmosphere and the view overall were great. The bar was nice as well, the fish aquarium instead of counter looked so unique. I highly recommend to go there at least once for your trip. The prices was higher then overall rates, but it absolutely worth it. Thanks to the people who work there, we really enjoyed our night. Don’t forget to make a reservation, but you always can sit at the bar too.

Upon entering the Grand Wailea, my fiancé and I didnt know how to get to the restaurant and had asked a waitress in the lobby bar for directions. She was so rude and off putting, I’ve never been blatantly ignored before. Once making it to the restaurant, we were seated and were not met by our waiter, Randall, for 15 minutes. However, we did see him to visit a family of four TWICE during those 15 minutes though. I legitimately cried out of frustration based off how we were treated and it was my birthday. The food was tasty but definitely NOT worth the price point. I regret dining here.

We got engaged and went to dinner here! Our server was superb. Food was amazing. A tad pricey however you get what you pay for. The bar is lovely. Definitely worth a try!

Food was great. service great. super super nice server. 10/10 all day. 100$ plus a person. i must say… valet.. so i drove my car in there my self right? you can’t do that. oops. i don’t do non optional valet often lol. not my point.. they drive like complete lunatics in there. RACING FAST. like i get your getting our vehicles in and out fast but like can i get it back in one piece please. every turn that was taken was tires SCREECCHING! horrifying. glad i’m driving a rental because if that was my car being driven like that by someone else… nah. only i get to drive my car like that lol. but it was bad. i was sick to my stomach hearing that. i was genuinely scared just driving in there with them. my valet card got stamped so i didn’t have to pay because i was only at the hotel to eat, but rip if i did. thing would be garbage when i got it back. chill out. i’m not a karen i just care about my crap.

I had high hopes for this meal but it failed to deliver. It was EXTREMELY loud with a loud band outside and loud music in the restaurant to the point it was hard to hold a conversation. By far the most expensive meal I've had on the island which I don’t mind paying for a great meal but this was not! The filet mignon was terrible, the cook was like it was poached! Not a nice sear on it at all. The lobster was very chewy and the octopus was not charred but slimy. Wasn't impressed with the service either, it was our 25th wedding anniversary which we had on our reservation yet nothing was said or done for us. We live down the beach from this place but I won't be back.

I came in with a few friends for sunset drinks and light bites. We each ordered a cocktail and shared some food. Kayla was our bartender. I ordered the rum punch, which was advertised as a larger-format cocktail and priced accordingly at $35. Unfortunately, it appeared to be a standard-sized drink served in a bulky tiki-style glass and tasted fairly average for the price. Another guest ordered the calamansi calabash, which we all agreed tasted noticeably off and did not align with the description—overall, it was not enjoyable. Beyond the disappointing drinks, the service fell well below what you’d expect given the prices and the reputation of a restaurant at the Grand Wailea. After initially serving our drinks and food, Kayla never checked back in to see how everything was or if we needed anything else. A busser attempted to clear our plates before we had finished eating, and when we let him know we weren’t done, he placed our used silverware directly back onto the bar top, which was off-putting. When we asked Kayla for the check, she responded with an eye roll, which made us feel rushed and unwelcome—possibly because we only ordered one round of drinks and light bites. The check was dropped off without a word or a thank you. As a chef and a Wailea resident, this experience was genuinely disappointing and not reflective of the level of hospitality I expect from an establishment of this caliber or price.

Dined here last night. I had gotten my reservations ahead of time and I highly recommended it. It's a beautiful restaurant with Hawaiian vibes overlooking the beach. The food is delicious and the place is fairly busy I'm giving it three stars because of the service our server kept forgetting what we ordered and the food arrived really late. The Kids menu he never put in the order so our kids food arrived after we had already finished our meal. Yes, he gave a complementary ube bread, but it was still too late. The kids were hungry and the buttered noodles and the chicken teriyaki arrived after the appetizers and main course . He also forgot to put in the crab cakes order . We had the West Coast oysters, Ahi, pacific snapper, Brussels, carrots, buttered noodles, and chicken teriyaki.

An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The food was truly outstanding—thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance between fine dining and comfort, making the whole evening feel special without feeling stuffy. Service was attentive and gracious, and the cocktails were excellent. This is the kind of place you plan your trip around. I loved the ube brioche, lilikoi butter, Red Snapper and dessert especially! I’ll absolutely be back.

The last time I dined here was when the lobster & crab fishing baskets were in use (2000's?). You'll still see it on display in the middle of the restaurant just past the bar on your way to the back. You could choose your crustacean from the pool below and it'd be hoisted up to you before heading for death row. ATMOSPHERE: It's still a beautiful open air restaurant, with high thatched roofs, warm lighting & woods, surrounded by a manmade lagoon and gorgeous sunset views. Be sure to check out the renovated bar with a built-in salt water aquarium countertop. I'd hate to be the one to clean that thing! Low top chair back cushions were uncomfortably thin. RESERVATIONS: Recommended as they're busy especially for dinner. PARKING: Valet is your only option and the restaurant is far from the lobby, so plan accordingly. MENU: American surf & turf with an extensive wine list. BEVERAGE: One Island Wish Vodka-based cocktail that's mildly sweet, a bit tart and sported some heat. FOOD: Kona Crab Cake (1 pc.) Honestly, THE best crab cake I've ever eaten. Simplicity at its best with a breaded crust, loads of finely shredded crab meat and no fillers. Tasted even better with the included crunchy greens. Everyone at the table agreed, highly recommended! But at $32 for a small-sized piece... Daily Catch Swordfish was the offering. Adequately-sized tender & moist filet, nicely seasoned. You won't miss having a starch as the chunky chickpeas mixed into the creamy sauce provided for a great low carb alternative. Some steamed or sautéed veggies would've been a nice accompaniment rather than the topping of slivered bell pepper. DESSERT: Espresso Martini Sometimes, you just gotta drink your dessert. Delish, textbook recipe. SERVICE: We had a small hiccup with our party's count but it was remedied. Male server went above & beyond when explaining the menu, with good overall service. We finished up around 10pm with multiple servers congregating at a nearby table, talking amongst themselves with obvious glances at us to leave. Even the overhead music stopped. Funny thing is, there was still another party dining in another corner of the restaurant as we left. Hopefully they didn't get an evening-ruining send off as we did. OVERALL: An otherwise 5-star experience was humbled by inflated pricing and the unprofessional feeling of being rushed out by staff members at the end of our dinner.
