Coastal Italian Flavors at the Edge of the Pacific

Perched directly above the crashing surf of Wailea Beach, Ferraro's offers an open-air escape that feels less like a hotel dining room and more like a private villa terrace. The sound of the tide is a constant companion here, often louder than the hum of conversation, making it a prime spot for sunset seekers who prefer their pasta with a side of salt air.

Handcrafted Italian Traditions

Chef de Cuisine and his team lean heavily into local Hawaiian ingredients to reinvent coastal Italian classics. The menu moves beyond standard fare, focusing on house-made pastas and fresh, line-caught seafood. Diners frequently rave about the vibrant crudo and the wood-fired pizzas, which arrive with a smoky char that pairs perfectly with a crisp Italian white wine. The transition from the warm, golden light of late afternoon to the deep indigo of a Maui twilight is the real showstopper here.

The Wailea Experience

This is not a place for a quick bite; it is designed for lingering. The layout is expansive, yet intimate enough for a milestone anniversary or a quiet evening away from the resort crowds. While the valet line can get backed up during peak tourist season, the immediate view of the Pacific horizon usually helps settle any lingering travel fatigue. Whether you are craving a light burrata salad or a robust braised short rib, the kitchen maintains a focus on seasonal integrity that honors its beachfront location.

Our server Nick was amazing - he went over the menu thoroughly, offered suggestions, checked in timely, and overall gave the most exceptional service. This dinner was a kick off to our honey moon and we couldn’t have asked for a better start. Not to mention the views of the restaurant are just phenomenal.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our family had an absolutely wonderful lunch at Ferraro’s in Maui. Everything was exceptional—the food was spectacular, the service was warm and attentive, the atmosphere was beautiful. We were lucky enough to be seated with an incredible ocean view, which made the meal unforgettable. Every detail was perfect, and you can truly feel the care and quality that goes into the entire experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Maui. We will definitely be back every time we return. Thank you for such a memorable afternoon! 🌺🌊🍽️

Beautiful Italian restaurant at the four seasons with westward facing ocean views. Their freshly made pastas were tasty and nicely portioned. Antipasti plates were great as well. The service was excellent.

Note: Google Maps shows Ferraro's right at the southern entrance, but it's actually next to the pool area, about 200 feet north of its GMaps pin. My family and I had a lunch to remember there today. We all got the seafood cobb salad, which was extremely delicious. The roast eggplant appetizer was also extraordinary! I actually think the prices here are super reasonable, given that you're dining at a 5-star hotel resort right on the beach and the chef has some serious firepower and local connection (as evidenced throughout the menu). Service was also standout - Matt and Justin took great care of us. A performer even began singing Hawaiian tunes. And the views were incredible. In short, I was really pleasantly surprised by my experience at Ferraro's and disagree with its rather low Google review aggregate score. I've eaten all over both Italy and Hawaii, and I would recommend this place for a nice splurge meal to just about anyone.

Just had the most incredible dinner at Ferraro Restaurant in Wailea, Maui! The views are absolutely stunning—sitting there overlooking the ocean as the sun sets is pure magic. The pasta water Martini is a game-changer, and their traditional mai tai is the real deal, strong and perfectly balanced. For the mains, the SPAGHETTI AL NERO DI SEPPIA with that rich squid ink pasta, tender Kona Lobster, confit tomato, and bold Puttanesca sauce was outstanding. Equally killer was the BUCATINI ALLE VONGOLE loaded with fresh clams, white wine, and that flavorful herbed brodo. Everything was cooked to perfection. If you're in Wailea, Ferraro is a must—top-tier Italian with that unbeatable Hawaiian vibe. Highly recommend! 🍝🍹🌅

This place is underrated. I originally didn’t even want to go. Italian food isn’t my go to on vacation but I was talked into it for lunch. So happy we went. Everything was great. The food, the service, the view and even the drinks! The mahi mahi wrap was one of the best I’ve had and the mussels in their sauce with the noodles was to die for. Everything here was, surprisingly, much better than I had anticipated after just googling this place. I definitely recommend coming here on a nice day for lunch or at sunset for dinner!

This is one of the most incredible places to watch the sunset—looking out over the ocean with the sun setting behind the cliffs. It genuinely feels like a White Lotus experience. I half expected to see Tanya scattering her mother’s ashes into the water. For fans of White Lotus Season 1, Ferraro’s is where many of the restaurant and bar scenes were filmed. The palm fronds were added to enhance the tiki feel, but the cliffs and beach are exactly what you see in the show. We had one of the best tables near the balcony with a direct ocean view. We dined on Saturday, December 13, and both the hostess and our waiter, Nick, wished us a Happy Anniversary several times, which meant a great deal to us—especially since it took 31 years to return to Maui after our honeymoon. I had the Molokai sweet potato gnocchi with scallops, which was excellent. My husband ordered the fish, beautifully prepared. For dessert, we shared the lemon dessert—a lemon shell filled with sorbet and chocolate “dirt.” Nick also brought us a Happy Anniversary cannoli, which was a thoughtful surprise and made us feel genuinely celebrated. We appreciated our waiter, Nick, making us feel like he was celebrating our special time with us, and even the hostess who wished us a happy anniversary on the way out.

Great views of the water and sunset, depending on time of year (better in summer and fall). Great wine selection, delicious cocktails, excellent service and Italian food for dinner. Get the bread with butter and burrata for starters. The Veal, Rissoto with marrow bone was excellent! Another great option is the Tagliatelle Bolongase, so tasty! Desserts looked great but too full to try. Get that on my next visit.

Service—10/10. The waitstaff were so attentive and polite. Our server came back multiple times to check on us. Food—9.5/10. We ordered the course meal and it was definitely worth it as we got to sample a variety of different dishes. My favorites of the night were the Wagyu, clam pasta, truffle pasta and the raspberry lemon dessert. Ambiance—10/10. Definitely go during sunset. The views are gorgeous. While we waited for our entrees to come out, we went down to the beach to take pictures

We dined at Ferraro’s Italian at the Four Seasons Maui, and everything from start to finish was top-notch. We started with the Kula carrots — fresh and flavorful — and the Ahi crudo, which was tender, delicate, and absolutely delicious. For my entrée, I had the panko-breaded ahi tuna steak, and it was simply perfection — one of the best-tasting dishes I’ve ever had. The service was exceptional, attentive without being intrusive, and the ocean view made the evening unforgettable. Thank you for an excellent (and yes, expensive!) dinner that was worth every bite.
