The Beach House By 604
About
Front Row Seats to the Leeward Coast
Perched right where the shoreline meets the Pacific in Waianae, The Beach House By 604 offers an unobstructed look at Oahu’s wild western horizon. This isn't your typical polished tourist trap; it’s a rugged, salt-sprayed spot where the wind whips through the open-air seating and the sound of crashing surf is loud enough to occasionally drown out your dinner conversation. It’s the kind of place you visit when you want to feel the raw energy of the island rather than a manicured resort experience.
Island Flavors and Sunset Skies
The menu leans heavily into local comfort food, drawing inspiration from the 604 culinary roots. You’ll find hearty portions of classic island staples—think crispy coconut shrimp and fresh catch that tastes like it was pulled from the water just a few hours prior. The kitchen excels at straightforward, no-nonsense preparations that pair perfectly with a cold local brew as the sky turns violent shades of orange and purple over the Waianae mountains.
The Local Rhythm
Expect a laid-back pace that operates on 'island time.' The floor is often sandy, the staff is perpetually relaxed, and the parking can get a bit tight during peak golden hour arrivals. It is a genuine gathering place for locals looking for a casual sunset hangout. If you are exploring the remote beaches of the West Side and find yourself craving a meal that feels like a backyard cookout with a million-dollar ocean view, this is your primary destination.

Only giving a 3 because your hostess was the most terrible hostess ive experienced in life and is costing your restaurant money. She was working on May 4 at around 8pm has short black hair and glasses and a tattoo on the inside of her forearm). We got to the restaurant at around 745pm and was greeted with a hostess who didnt bother to say hi when we stood at the podium. I finally said hello and we need a table for 2. She immediately said "we close in about an hour so we are not taking any more tables). Your restaurant closes at 9, which means there was 1 hour and 15 minutes until closing. I knew that sounded wrong so I asked kindly if she could check. She left came back with a stale face and grabbed menus and said follow me with a stink attitude. 3 or 4 small parties were also sat down after us. If I didnt speak up she would be ok turning us all away on karaoke night. Shes terrible. We all go through hard times in life but if she hates working there then she should not be there because the rest of the night, food and staff were top notch amazing - i could not have asked for a better experience. But can you imagine if I let the hostess ruin the entire night? This girl will cost you money and should either be in the back or maybe help buss tables so she doesnt need to talk to people. Your restaurant is phenomenal and I will continue to recommend to all my friends and family but please check your hostess. She ruins the most important part of the experience being at the front of the restaurant. If she cannot show Aloha she shouldn't be there.

We were looking for a place with a view of water or a marina and we did enjoy the view of the marina. Drinks were good, but the service was very slow and the food was meh. We had the kalua nachos and the firecracker chicken and both were very bland and the nachos were cold and the sauces watery. It took so long for our firecracker chicken to arrive that we had decided to cancel the order just as it was finally delivered to the table, but without any silverware. We couldn’t manage to flag down someone to bring ask for silverware and ended up nibbling the chicken pieces with our fingers.

An amazing and fun place with incredible ocean views! We found the food to be excellent- mahi mahi perfectly grilled and the ahi seared nicely as well. Drinks are reasonably priced. Service was friendly and conscientious. We were there on a Monday and it was a fun marine night. The place had a great crowd, friendly, and cheerful. We enjoyed and will return! I don’t know what happened for negative reviews but we loved it!
