Wow wow wow… just speechless! True authentic Puerto Rican food right here in Hawaii 🇵🇷They deserve way more than 5 stars. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious & perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the dessert completely blew me away. You can truly taste the love in every bite. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for authentic Puerto Rican food on the island!

I recently visited this restaurant, and it was such a delightful experience. They specialize in Puerto Rican, Colombian, and Caribbean dishes, and you can really taste the heart in every bite. The setting is very homey and laid-back, which made for a relaxing meal. It’s a wonderful spot if you’re looking for authentic flavors and a friendly, welcoming environment. I’ll definitely be heading back to try more of their menu.

We are always looking for a Puerto Rican spot wherever we travel and let me tell you, we found it here!!! The food is so bomb. I had the mofongo with shrimp and it was the perfect texture and flavor; not dry, you can taste the garlic. The pastel tasted very fresh and there was stuffing in every bite. We started with the alcapurrias and they were so good that I forgot to take a pic. 10/10 recommend Coquitos. I’ll be back

Great local restaurant with lots of flavor and a small-town feel. I ordered the Tripleta sandwich, which is served with French fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, flavorful, and very filling. The bread was flaky, toasted, and had a great texture. The French fries were crinkle-cut and some of the best I’ve had. For an appetizer, I ordered Colombian empanadas, which, unfortunately, were cold in the center. I was told they are frozen after inquiring. Had they been cooked thoroughly, I’m sure they would have tasted good, but nothing special. The table next to me ordered the Caribbean Jerk wings and was raving about them; I could also smell them, so they must have been great. Don’t miss out on those if you’re ordering an appetizer. For dessert, I had the tres leche cake, which was okay! I’d like to note that the waitress corrected the bill for the appetizer mistake and was very friendly throughout the meal. This restaurant is worth visiting if you are on the West side of the island to experience the various flavors.

Ordered our food to go! My Boricua husband walks in and asks green olives or Black? Lol. Let’s just say this spot is the real deal, their alcapurrias had soo much flavor, the mofongo and rice and beans with a pastele was worth every single penny! He went back the next 2 days for more alcapurrias!! Definitely give them a try!!

You're not coming for the seating, the atmosphere, they have every item in stock, the parking isn't great, and you can't even order a drink..... but if you're coming for authentic Puerto Rican food, this is your spot. And thier homemade hot sauce in the tequila bottle is crazy good.... like crazy good!

This place is great. The awards on the wall are clearly well earned and I can see why the reviews are so good. This is a fairly small restaurant but the flavors are big. You definitely should start out with the jerk wings. They've got a nice crispy skin with an outstanding sauce. They aren't tiny either. I had the chicken mofongo with rice and beans for my sides and I'd easily recommend any of those. We also got dessert and the flan is tasty. Update: I went back and needed to add that the Tres Leche is absolutely fantastic They've got seating for around 20 inside, and a few outdoor tables as well. The service is friendly and the food comes out quickly. If you're on Oahu this is for sure worth a stop. I can't recommend them enough and I'm thinking I'll stop again before I fly out.

One of, if not the best meals we've had on the island. My wife had the garlic shrimp on tostones (add the guac, it's worth it). I had the pollo a la parilla which was excellent. My only wish is that we'd had enough room for desert. The service was fantastic as well. We will not hesitate to dine here again before we leave.

A gem on the island that you wouldn’t have expected! Worth the drive from Honolulu. A great menu, taste true Puerto Rican cuisine. The plantains were the highlight, served in so many ways

Small restaurant - big flavors! I absolutely loved the atmosphere. It feels like I was eating at my friend’s restaurant, it felt so welcoming. The food is incredible! We ordered almost everything from the menu just to try and we loved everything. The flavors are incredible and so delicious. Definitely worth driving a bit further out just to get this food. We definitely will be back for more. Oh and you can bring your own beer, that’s just awesome!
