About
Sunsets and Salty Air on the Leeward Coast
Perched right where the rugged Waianae coastline meets the Pacific, Beach House by 604 serves as a laid-back sanctuary for those looking to escape the crowded tourist hubs of Waikiki. This spot captures the true essence of the Leeward side—unpretentious, breezy, and deeply connected to the rhythm of the tide. As you step onto the deck, the scent of charcoal-grilled proteins mingles with the mist of crashing waves, setting a tone that is decidedly casual.
Island Comforts on the Plate
The kitchen leans heavily into Hawaii-inspired comfort food, focusing on local favorites that fuel a day at the nearby beaches. You will find staples like their signature burgers, crispy onion rings, and plate lunch-style offerings that prioritize portion and flavor over culinary pretension. It is the kind of place where you can walk in with sandy feet and a sunburn, order a cold local craft beer or a tropical cocktail, and watch the sky transition from cerulean to deep orange.
A Local Perspective
If you plan on visiting, keep in mind that the parking lot can get snug during the golden hour rush, so arriving a bit early is a wise move for snagging a prime table near the railing. The acoustics of the open-air layout mean things can get lively when the house is full, but that is part of the charm—the hum of locals catching up and the distant sound of surfers hitting the breaks nearby. It isn't a place for white-tablecloth formality; it is a place for authentic coastal relaxation where the horizon is the main attraction.

Super laid back spot to get delicious food and drinks! We had a table right by the water and watched the sunset as we ate. The poke nachos were a delicious way to start the meal! I got the salmon bombs appetizer as my entree and it was out of this world!!!! I also had the makaha-Rita. So yummy!!

This place is something special. Right by the ocean… relaxed, open, with that real Hawaiian breeze you can feel the moment you arrive. But what makes it unique? You actually pass through a military checkpoint to get there — and even that was part of the experience. The guard was incredibly friendly, welcoming, setting the tone before you even sit down. And then… the view. Ocean right in front of you, waves, light, space — just pure calm. The food? Really, really good. ✨ Fresh, flavorful dishes ✨ Generous portions ✨ Everything we tried — on point And the service matched it perfectly — kind, attentive, easygoing. It’s not just about eating here… it’s about the whole experience. A place that feels a little different, a little more real. Definitely worth it.

Only giving a 3 because your hostess was the most terrible hostess ive experienced in life and is costing your restaurant money. She was working on May 4 at around 8pm has short black hair and glasses and a tattoo on the inside of her forearm). We got to the restaurant at around 745pm and was greeted with a hostess who didnt bother to say hi when we stood at the podium. I finally said hello and we need a table for 2. She immediately said "we close in about an hour so we are not taking any more tables). Your restaurant closes at 9, which means there was 1 hour and 15 minutes until closing. I knew that sounded wrong so I asked kindly if she could check. She left came back with a stale face and grabbed menus and said follow me with a stink attitude. 3 or 4 small parties were also sat down after us. If I didnt speak up she would be ok turning us all away on karaoke night. Shes terrible. We all go through hard times in life but if she hates working there then she should not be there because the rest of the night, food and staff were top notch amazing - i could not have asked for a better experience. But can you imagine if I let the hostess ruin the entire night? This girl will cost you money and should either be in the back or maybe help buss tables so she doesnt need to talk to people. Your restaurant is phenomenal and I will continue to recommend to all my friends and family but please check your hostess. She ruins the most important part of the experience being at the front of the restaurant. If she cannot show Aloha she shouldn't be there.

We were looking for a place with a view of water or a marina and we did enjoy the view of the marina. Drinks were good, but the service was very slow and the food was meh. We had the kalua nachos and the firecracker chicken and both were very bland and the nachos were cold and the sauces watery. It took so long for our firecracker chicken to arrive that we had decided to cancel the order just as it was finally delivered to the table, but without any silverware. We couldn’t manage to flag down someone to bring ask for silverware and ended up nibbling the chicken pieces with our fingers.

An amazing and fun place with incredible ocean views! We found the food to be excellent- mahi mahi perfectly grilled and the ahi seared nicely as well. Drinks are reasonably priced. Service was friendly and conscientious. We were there on a Monday and it was a fun marine night. The place had a great crowd, friendly, and cheerful. We enjoyed and will return! I don’t know what happened for negative reviews but we loved it!

Go to 604 for a sunset meal. Amazing view over the ocean. You are right on the beach. Food is good not amazing, but good. Staff is very personable. Prices are fair. Breakfast in the weekends is really inexpensive for special.

This is a special special place. Great atmosphere, the staff is so attentive, the location can't be beat, the prices are great ... Especially for Hawaii, we only had nachos but they were amazing with kalua pig. If you come to Oahu don't miss it!

We travel the U.S. roughly 270 days a year and have eaten at hundreds of restaurants, so we feel confident sharing this feedback. The service was fantastic—thank you, Harley, for doing a great job. Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. Every meat dish we ordered was cooked incorrectly. My wife sent her steak back, while my friend chose to just deal with his. Anyone ordering meat here should expect a recook. The kitchen staff seems either very inexperienced or simply unconcerned. For a bill just over $200, this experience was unacceptable. We will not be returning.

First time visiting Hawaii and we decided to stop by this spot near the beach, best decision ever. The vibe was relaxing, the breeze felt amazing, and the food did not disappoint. The staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home. Definitely excited to come back again.
