McDonald's - Makawao (Old Haleakala Hwy)

I went there and ordered a Big Mac meal but they almost gave a a quarter pounder meal. I caught that and since I was going through a drive through, they told me to park up front and they would bring out the meal. They charged me for a higher priced meal, never offered a refund and when I got home with the meal, the Big Mac had so much special sauce it over whelmed the taste and the bun was soggy. I couldn’t eat it so I just ate the soggy French fries! Don’t go there it’s the worse MacDonalds in the United States

Every time I go I'm always asked to park no matter what my order is. Today I get all the way home and my order is missing something that I paid extra for. That isn't the first time. I called but I have to go back into the office with the receipt to get a refund instead of giving them the information on the card. Won't be going back there again. Not worth it.

Very clean bathroom, but I would never actually eat at a McDonald's!!! Have you sén the garbage they put in their food? I will say this, the staff at this place is on point. Very courteous and patient.

This McDonald’s is pretty clean and good. But to use the restroom you need a code from them

McDonald’s App really needs an upgrade. Find a way to not accept orders when people are severely short staffed and the restaurant doesn’t offer any curbside or counter pick up. Ordered ahead at 7:00 and ended up waiting almost forty minutes for an order instead of the app being quick and efficient for those in a hurry. They had the whole dining room closed and only the drive thru open. Don’t make people work short staffed that you basically have to not allow eat in, pick up or mobile orders and also have the app run right. Food ended up being cold. No room in parking lot to move and leave instead. Horrible experience.

Compared to other fast food places this place does what it needs to do ... the local big breakfast comes with McSpam and Portuguese sausages and a scoop of rice ... perfect Hawaiian / Filipino breakfast. Unfortunately no refills on coffee or pop ( soda ).

The order taker was very friendly and polite. The actual order service was slow but that is common now with "fast" food. I had an island special of spam, eggs and rice . The price was a little more than I expected but again it is common now. The food was hot and tasted great. The area and washrooms was clean and well maintained. I was disappointed their soda dispenser was shut off and they didn't offer refills for customers. I understand people may abuse it, but paying customers should at least get one refill.

I must be spoiled down at the central (dairy road & puunene) McDonald’s if when I order a eggs, spam & rice platter w/no eggs, I get two more spam as a substitute... but for upcountry, two spam and rice is almost $7 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ and the sausage, egg McMuffin w/extra butter was very dry …

Food was ready quickly. They had a clean bathroom and the restaurant overall was clean. Service was friendly. We got two egg McMuffins with hash browns, diet coke, and doctor pepper. They got our modifications correct with the light ice for the sides. However, one of the McMuffins was supposed to be sub bacon for ham, but they subbed the egg with bacon, so it was just bacon, ham, and cheese. Other than that, this was a good McDonald's.
