Tiki Tacos

SO DELICIOUS! Some of the nicest tacos we have had, coming all the way from Melbourne Australia. Big portion sizes, very friendly & informative service. Highly recommend the best fish taco & chicken taco - definitely add the guac - it’s amazing. We’ll be back for sure while we are here !!

This place is amazing. They really do go above and beyond. I ate here in 2026 and in 2016, make sure Tiki Tacos is on your Kauai Hit list.

Tacos are HUGE and topped with delicious cabbage slaw made with tasty salsa verde and crema. One is enough for a meal and I think they are all under $10. You can see them mixing masa and making fresh corn tortillas in the kitchen. Pollo taco - meat was tender and moist, but no heat until you add the sauce; a good pick for kids. Shrimp taco - shrimp was meaty and grilled prefectly.

Overall, the tacos were good. I’m not so sure they were worth $10 per taco. The homemade tortillas were delicious. I had pork and Al Pastor- both were delicious. My wife had fish and shrimp which were subpar. They had a variety of salsa, which were good as well. There are no options for chips, or rice/beans etc.

A very friendly guy took our order. He seemed to be the owner and took a lot of pride in the food and ensuring his customers knew what they were getting. The tacos are like medium burritos, they’re pretty big. My husband and I each ordered two and it was plenty of food. There are four salsas on the counter to pick from to add to your tacos of varying levels of spice. I got a spiced taco and put spices salsa on it and it was not as spiced ads I was expecting. The food is delicious but takes a while. However, they warned us when we ordered which I appreciated. The food is all made fresh to order including the homemade corn tortillas (YUM! Best part!!) and took about 25-30 minutes to come out. There’s lots of seating and wipes to clean your table, which was great! Would highly recommend trying this place out! It was consistently busy the entire time we were there all the way to close.

Love this taco shop and would eat there every week if I lived on Kauai. When we return we will revisit over and over. Such amazing distinct flavor and fresh ingredients. Their special sauces are so yummy and the corn tortillas really authenticate the flavor profile. The Mayan marinated fish taco was my favorite along with the roasted veggie taco to compliment. Chicken enchilada is not your typical kind you find in the usual restaurants but this one is not your typical one. Tiki tacos are muy bueno and ono-licious. Kapaa is blessed to have them in town. Give them a try.

Tried their Pollo Loco tacos which were delicious. One taco has a big serving size. Although this place closes at 7pm, they take orders until then and let people eat outside even after their closing time. This place is very busy, so arriving early is recommended. Kind staff. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely amazing, some of the best tacos I’ve ever had! The homemade tortillas remind me of how my abuelita used to make them, super authentic! A perfect balance of Mexican flavor with an awesome island fusion, cannot go wrong! Highly suggest the Mayan Fish taco and the Paniolo Steak taco, the extra sauce adds a flavor-bomb explosion when paired with the toppings and crema. Like many have said, 2 tacos are a FULL meal, they do not skip out on fully loading these things. Don’t forget the Jarritos or Mexican Coke to wash down that perfect spice 🤙🏽

Came to grab takeout tacos for the family and we were all raving about how good they were. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with suggestions. We ordered the shrimp, kalua, and pollo loco tacos and every one was a hit. The tortillas are handmade and you can actually see them being made fresh in the back. Definitely make a stop here. Highly recommend. Also all their sauces are delish!

The food is so good. Very delicious combinations for every taste. We went there for two times after trying different other taco shops on the island. Also the 4 salsas you can add for free on the table give a really good twist. Super friendly staff which helps you finding the best choice!
