Tacos Al Pastor

I was really craving some good Al Pastor and, while the meat had a decent flavor, the overall experience was just okay. The portions felt a little smaller than I expected for the price, and the tortillas were not quite as fresh as I would have hoped. It is a fine spot if you are in the immediate area and need a quick fix, but I didn't think the tacos stood out enough to make me a regular. It was a perfectly average meal that satisfied my hunger, but didn't leave a lasting impression.

10-15 min wait, fresh fish tacos. We got fresh ahi, really soft and moist, haven’t had ahi like that, very nice. Beans were ok maybe canned, guac was really good and fresh, the rice that with it had also really nice flavor. Would recommend. Spent ~$25 for all including the jarritos. Good for two If you don’t want to eat a lot. Chickens roaming around and cars passing by.

Aloha from Michigan! We tried this food truck for lunch on vacation in Kauai. Delicious! Generous portions of chips and salsa, Mahi-Mahi tacos and grilled shrimp tacos were great!

The Mahi Mahi fish tacos were absolutely amazing and some of the best food I have had in the last few years. Better than any food I have eaten in a restaurant on Kauai.

I had to stop in on my way off the North Shore to the "sunny" south side to finish off my trip....needed to try their "big chunks of fresh fish tacos" 🌮 Got the single taco (comes with 2 layered soft taco shells for $7) and they did NOT disappoint! 🤤 The perfect lil snack on the road, a cute food truck and gift truck collaboration right off the highway in Kapaa, got 2 shark tooth necklaces for souvenirs for friends back home...only $6 each! Tacos were fresh, Mahi Mahi was moist and flavorful, sauce to top was yum! Glad the rain help off long enough for me to have this experience 🙏 The wait was "long" the woman said because they were busy, but it was only 15 mins and happy tomcruz around the other trucks while I waited 🙂 Mahalo Al Pastor's!

Al Pastor came recommended to us in a few conversations with other travelers, so we had to check it out. Fish tacos and garlic shrimp tacos were amazing and fresh. Great price for the portions. My only advice - go early before they sell out and they are closed on Monday.

The fish tacos were amazing. I’m usually not a fan of ahi tuna, but this was perfectly prepared. Light, fresh, filling, and it tasted wonderful. There’s something about sitting at a picnic bench, hearing the waves in the background while eating fresh fish, that captures what Hawaii — and Kauai in particular — is all about. It feels less like a meal and more like a culinary expression of the island itself.

Fresh, hot & friendly service! Fish tacos were nice as came with side of rice, beans & small dollop of guacamole. The sauce was nice but needed another kick - maybe a salsa of some sort. Good portions!

Yummy fresh caught fish tacos! Also has chicken or pork. By a lot of other food trucks we went on a weekday and had plenty of parking steps from a cute beach but that beach is not safe for swimming. To many currents but you could cool your feet.

4 out of 5 stars - Write a great review for AL PASTOR food truck in Kauai. We had the fresh fish tacos (Mahimahi) and the fish burrito. Every thing was really good but there wasn’t anything that we had that was extra special so that’s the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars. If the had something that was real creative or just so great I kept thinking about it I would have given it 5 stars.
