Smith Family Garden Luau

Beautiful location and covered so the show goes on even in the rain. Beautiful costumes and dance. Open bar with tickets. Bar service fast and friendly. Food line was Quick as well. The food was overly salty, and I love salt. Pork was dry. So meh on the food. Some local artisans sold goods before the show on the grounds. Has a drink, walked around n watched a great show. Luau, oh yea!!

Really quite lovely and festive filled with a true cultural experience. From the moment you arrive until the final moment of the evening show everything was welcoming. Don't let the large number of people fool you. The food was excellent and the music and vibe everything you would want in a luau. Absolutely worth the experience!

We ended our honeymoon with the Smith Family Garden Luau, and wow, that turned out to be an incredible decision. One of the coolest parts was getting to witness the pig being pulled from the imu after spending hours cooking underground. Huge respect to the gentlemen involved in the ceremony, who were using their bare hands to move hot rocks and carefully uncover the food. It was genuinely impressive to watch and gave us an even deeper appreciation for the tradition and effort behind the experience. The dinner itself was fantastic, with a wide variety of great food options along with both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages available. It was a little loud at times, but with hundreds of people gathered together, that is understandable and honestly added to the lively atmosphere. Then came the main event, the luau itself, which was absolutely amazing. We loved how the show blended multiple cultures and traditions together, creating such a meaningful and entertaining experience. It was incredible learning more about Hawaiian, Polynesian, Japanese, and other cultural traditions throughout the performance. The entire evening felt magical and was the perfect way to end our honeymoon. We would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Kauai. Our only small complaint would be that the seating during the luau was not the most comfortable, but overall, it was absolutely worth it.

We were told the Smith family hosted the very best Luau on Kauai, and that proved more than true. What a great time, and the perfect grand finale for our Hawaii trip. The Smith family provides the ultimate in hospitality and entertainment. Do yourself a favor and take more pictures right after dinner, because the view of the Nounou “Sleeping Giant” Mountain is unbelievable at sunset. We loved the wonderful people, the incredible scenery, the gorgeous peacocks and nene birds. Smith Family Garden is not to be missed if you’re looking for a great luau. 🌺🦚

A family-style, home cooked buffet feeding about 100-150 guests. Start visit with a photo opportunity, guided tour of the gorgeous property and some free time to explore and claim seating (open seating for small groups). Learned about the family history and significance of the Imu ceremony, followed by dinner with entertainment (open bar) and finally a spectacular show that beautifully showcases the culture of Hawaii.
