Panda Express - Kapaa (Kuhio Hwy)

A lot of food served at the speedy pace and it is a great stop on the way to the airport

We visited the store while on vacation and after visiting the lydgate beach. They were quick in making the entree within 5 minutes. We ordered bigger plate of chowmein, fried rice, Beijing beef, black pepper chicken with watermelon mango refresher. The prices in Hawaii are definitely more than other states for same chain.

Busy Panda express at dinner time. We ordered two, 2-entree dinners. Walnut shrimp, orange chicken, and all chow mein, along with mushroom chicken, teriyaki chicken, and all super greens. On the 1st meal, all items were ready to eat upon ordering them. We had to ask for this dinner because they filled it but held it with the other order that was waiting for super greens and teriyaki chicken. They were out of super greens and teriyaki chicken when I ordered my entree selections. The super greens were ready in about 7 minutes, and the teriyaki chicken took 15 minutes longer. I really wanted the teriyaki chicken, so I decided to wait for it. After about 10 min, I asked for my super greens and mushroom chicken since they had already put that in my eating container, and I wanted to enjoy it while it was still warm. When I got my teriyaki chicken, the 2 pieces I received had a lot of visceral fat in them, so they were a bit too fatty and chewy for my taste. We'll probably return and hopefully not run into this issue with the longer wait time for the teriyaki chicken.

This is the most consistently understaffed Panda Express I have ever been to. There is only ever three employees in the entire restaurant. One cooking, one helping customers, and one in the back doing god knows What. There can be 10 people in line, and just one person helping customers. I used to go here pretty regularly, I don't even bother with it anymore. I know I'm going to be waiting at least 15 minutes before anyone can wait on me. I would not recommend to anyone. I'd rather drive to Lihue to get Chinese.

You gotta taste these Honey Walnut Shrimps, they are outstanding!

It’s a Panda Express. The service was good. One of our party members thought the Apple Pie Roll was amazing so we went back a couple more times to get him those. My husband and I personally thought the powdered sugar made it too sweet. Note that the cashier mentioned this is only a limited time item so if you want it, now is your time.

If you come here bring your own fortune and cream cheese. My visit to Panda Express Kauai today was horrible and I will tell you why. First of all they didn’t have my number one choice of Dr Pepper but that’s ok so I went to root beer ALSO GONE. So as I was slurping my watery orange fizz I grabbed my Rangoon’s and ONE OF THEM HAS NO CREAM CHEESE. At this time I was thinking “nothing could be worse” but as I was finishing up my meal my friend turns to me and HER FORTUNE COOKIE HAD NO FORTUNE. So ya excuse my 3rd grade grammar.

My dinner from panda express was extremely disappointing to say the least. I ordered the two basic items (chow mein and egg fried rice) that are impossible to get wrong. Both items were dry and lacked ANY seasoning. There was no flavor at all, you couldn't even taste salt or Soy sauce. It was bland. I do not recommend this :(

While it was good, the variety of entrees has been reduced due to the pandemic. I was they could bring Sweetfire Chicken Breast and some of the other favorites. Service was very polite and professional.

To be fair this Panda Express is in Kauai. They weren't very busy but it seems like we stood there for 10 minutes or more waiting for someone to take our order. You will find it a little more expensive than those in the lower 48, but I guess it's worth it. They were very accommodating and very polite.
