Napali Brewing Co.
About
A Taste of the Garden Isle
Tucked away in the heart of Kapaa, Napali Brewing Co. brings a refreshing, artisanal energy to Kauai’s east side. This is where local residents and visitors gravitate for a pint after a long day of navigating the coastal paths. The space hums with the low, steady buzz of conversation and the occasional clinking of glasses, offering a grounded, unpretentious retreat from the more tourist-heavy spots near the water.
Brewing with Island Spirit
The brewery takes pride in its rotating taps, which often feature ingredients sourced from the lush surrounding landscape. Expect to find a variety of styles ranging from crisp, tropical-noted IPAs to stouts that lean into rich, island-inspired profiles. The fermentation tanks are visible near the bar, providing a stark industrial contrast to the warm, wood-heavy interior. It’s an authentic look at the craft process, right in the middle of our small-town strip.
What to Expect
This is a communal spot, built for those who prefer craft beer over mass-produced imports. The atmosphere is open and airy, perfectly suited for the Kapaa climate. A small heads-up: parking can get tricky during the peak dinner rush as the surrounding shopping area fills up quickly, but the short walk from nearby overflow spots is usually a pleasant way to soak in the evening breeze. Whether you are a dedicated hop-head or just looking for a cool place to rest your feet before heading to dinner, the service is fast, friendly, and deeply local. It is a quintessential stop for anyone wanting to experience the evolving craft beverage scene on Kauai without the fuss of high-end lounge culture.

Came here on a whim. We were dog tired from our activities for the day. Arrived at about 7. Waited about 5 minutes. Waiter was fast. Drinks right away, took order, food was on the table in 5 minutes! Ordered kalua pork sliders with a spicy chipotle (not hot at all), and fish ‘n chips. Fries were just average, but the fish was tender and flavorful and the tartar sauce ruled the day. Sliders were perfect for my appetite. And delicious.

I recently visited this restaurant and had a mixed experience overall. We started with the hapa fries, which were actually really good and a great way to kick things off. However, the Local Style Smoke Meat was disappointing — it was basically just sweet onion with bacon and felt overpriced for what it was. I wouldn’t recommend that dish. On the positive side, the Huli Huli Chicken was tasty and well-prepared, and the wagyu burger was also very good — definitely one of the highlights of the meal. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed, and the waitresses were kind and friendly, which made the experience more enjoyable. We paid around $100 plus a $20 tip. We also had beer, which was nicely bitter — if you like that kind of flavor, it was spot on. Overall, some dishes were great, others not so much, but the service and atmosphere helped balance things out.

The friendliest waitress on the island. This one super wonder woman was waiting on every table in the place and getting the job done with the help of a guy who was delivering a lot of the food. This super team deserves a medal and honestly every other restaurant around here needs to send their people there to watch and learn.

We visited Feb 2026 and had a ball! Our party of 12 was sat with little wait time and the Service was great. The Kalua Pork is amazing! The live music was very entertaining with a variety of tunes, and wasn't so loud that we couldn't chat at our table even tho we were close to the stage. The beautiful setting inside the restaurant makes you feel like your outside. Beer was tasty too!

I really don’t like being critical of places — especially when you can tell people are genuinely trying. That’s why this one was a bit of a tough call between four and five stars. We came in on a Monday around 6 PM. Service was excellent from the start — attentive, friendly, and well-paced. You feel welcomed, not rushed. Big plus. The food was good. Everything was cooked properly, and the kitchen clearly knows what it’s doing. The burgers were cooked exactly to the requested doneness, which I always respect. Fish and chips were solid as well — crispy, well-balanced, no complaints there. That said, I’ll be honest. I’ve eaten a lot of burgers in my life, and while this one was good, it wasn’t one of the best I’ve had. Not bad by any means — just not a standout for me personally. The menu overall felt a bit limited, and I found myself wishing there were more options to choose from. Atmosphere is where this place really shines. Live guitar music, a beautiful interior, relaxed island vibe — it all works. We were a group of four, spent around $205 total, and considering the drinks, burgers, and overall experience, the pricing felt fair. So yes — I’m leaving five stars. The service, atmosphere, and overall experience deserve it. At the same time, if I’m being completely honest, next time I might be curious to try a few other spots as well. Still, a very enjoyable evening, and definitely worth a visit.

Great spot to enjoy a beautiful setting and really good food! In terms of atmosphere and presentation, this is easily one of the prettiest places we visited on Kauai. We ordered three burgers and one fish & chips. The burgers were cooked exactly how we asked, which I always appreciate. The fish & chips were just a little on the dry side, but still decent. The beer, though, was excellent. The only thing that bothered me a bit was that we were charged extra for sauces that came with the meal, and no one mentioned they were an additional charge. It wasn’t a huge amount (about $3), but it’s just nicer to be told upfront. Overall, we had a really nice time and would definitely recommend this place.

Such a great vibe! We stopped in for dinner and it really hit the spot. The beer list is solid. Highly recommend the Wai Lolo (West Coast IPA). The food menu is simple but feels very curated and extremely flavorful. We shared the Brussels sprouts, pork sliders, and the Hapa fries. Everything was super tasty and the fries portion was huge! Great music, great food, and a perfect way to end the day.
