BV's Bourbon & Ale House

They have an absolutely killer bourbon selection but don't really know anything about ale. I was served 2 different IPAs that were over a year old. If you don't sell enough to keep fresh beer in stock, you probably shouldn't sell it in the first place. Plus when you sell out of code beer you don't just hurt your reputation, you hurt the brewery's reputation as well.

Half grill and half italian restaurant, master of none. Ok but expensive meals for the lack of included sides and the calzone is solid but they charge extra for a few ounces more of marinara. Ok Whisky selection. Wasn't awful but definitely our least favorite spot we visited.

We came to BV's bar several times during our vacation because the drinks were divine and service was terrific! Friendly, attentive with a vast array of drink options and the prices were comparable to similar bars and restaurants. Food servings were generous too. Highly recommend their New Fashioned and Sangria Peche beverages.

Best Alfredo sauce I’ve ever had. All of their Italian sauces are made in house according to the menu. The beer and liquor selection is phenomenal.

I’d probably have given them a 3 if the sign out front didn’t claim to have the best burger on the island. A more honest sign would claim to have the most average burger on the island. Meat clearly from a bag of frozen patties, an underripe tomato, and nearly a whole half a red onion. It wasn’t bad by any means. It was extraordinarily average. Management, change your sign and I’ll bump ya up to a 3. PS why bother asking how i want my burger cooked if you’re just gonna cook it well done anywho?

3/2025 Jolee was a great bartender, welcoming and service oriented. Nice atmosphere, lots of tv's to catch that sporting event. Convenient location in Kapa'a. Mahi sandwich was pretty good with housemade potato chips. Onolicious. 😉🤙

Locals exploring new restaurants and picked this one to celebrate our anniversary. Great time, great food, great drinks, bacon smoked old fashioned baby! Spaghetti western burger and the fish and chips were wonderfully flavorful!! Calamari is better than kintaros!

A great place for lunch! We sat outside and enjoyed the breeze. I ordered the Blackened Mahi-Mahi sandwich. The Mahi-Mahi had the perfect amount of seasoning and was a generous portion. The house made chips only enhanced the meal. My wife ordered the Chicken Parm sandwich. The tasty sandwich was too much for her to eat so of course I helped her and finished her meal. The service was great!

Bartender definitely knew how to make good drinks! A Wall full of quality bourbons and a menu to match. I had a Manhattan and an old fashioned; both were superb. The burger from the kitchen was hand pressed beef, cheddar, dressed with fresh bib lettuce, local tomatoes, home made pickles, red onion, and a brioche bun - cooked perfect medium rare as I requested. It was fabulous! Outstanding food and drinks, with top notch service to match. We will be back! Highly recommended.

Amazing new ale house at coconut market place. 10 taps of local brews, plus 40 mostly local cans and bottled beers. 100s of bourbons make this the only top tier whiskey joint on the island. Double menu includes all the food from the fine Italian joint next door. Must try locale. Beautiful layout and cool staff will have you coming back for sure. A+.
