About
A Meat-Lover’s Haven in Windward Oahu
Tucked away in the heart of Kaneohe, Sikdorak 2 brings the interactive spirit of Korean barbecue to the Windward side. If you are looking for an unpretentious spot to grill your own meats, this is the neighborhood go-to. The room is filled with the rhythmic clatter of metal chopsticks against stone bowls and the intoxicating, savory scent of searing bulgogi and brisket hitting the tabletop grill.
The Feast Experience
The hallmark here is the expansive spread of banchan that greets you the moment you sit down. From spicy, fermented kimchi that packs a punch to cooling bean sprouts, the side dishes are replenished frequently. The menu leans into traditional cuts, with the marinated short ribs (galbi) standing out as the crowd favorite for their balance of sweetness and char. It is an ideal setting for groups; the communal nature of the tabletop grills turns a standard dinner into a hands-on event.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Because it is a popular local spot for families and students alike, the dining room can get quite boisterous during peak dinner hours. It is the type of place where you leave smelling like the grill—a badge of honor for any K-BBQ enthusiast. While parking in the Kaneohe shopping centers can sometimes require a quick lap or two, the payoff of a bubbling bowl of tofu stew or a crispy seafood pancake makes the effort worthwhile. It is a no-frills, high-flavor environment perfect for those who prioritize authentic taste over fancy table settings.

This place was way better when it was sikdorak. Food quality went down hill A LOT and prices rose. The kimchi isn’t even good anymore and it’s just an overall disappointment now. Friends and I have gone a couple times hoping it’d be better at some point but with how expensive it is now for such poor quality I’d rather just go to times and make it at home, cheaper and tastes better. You can’t even bring your own sodas any more and there’s a beer fee now. They say they close at 11 but will close at 9:30 a lot of times, I work in a restaurant as well and that’s just absolutely ridiculous, maybe 15-30 minutes closing early if it’s slow but that’s just insanely lazy. Unfortunately myself and a lot of friends are never coming back, we’ve been coming here since we were kids. Sadly another Kaneohe classic gone forever :(

Said it was closed at 11 on a Friday but closed at 9, let us in tho because they “wanted to be kind”. We arrived separately but were seated at the same table with another group we did not know. We got aquatinted with them so the server assumed we were one party. Treated us and served us separately, but charged us the gradituity for both cheques. Even though we were two separate parties, not knowing one another, we were charged $45 per person. Not worth it to come here if you have more than 4 people, and if they seat you at the same table as someone else look out for if they try and do this to you.

Says it closes at 11pm but they closed 9:30. We arrived at 8 and didn’t let us order anymore at 9 because they said they weren’t busy so they were closing. Yet they made us pay the full price after only eating for 30 mins. We also came in as two seperate groups of 4 and treated us like 2 seperate groups and they said it was fine until the cheque came and they combined us so we got charged more. Everything was good until the cheque came and they were gaslighting us into thinking we said things we didn’t. I wouldn’t recommend this place to be honest.

Good food, friendly and helpful service. Not crowded at all during lunch time and cheaper. One thing though: they are desperately in need of a hardware update. The vents are weak, so you can put the vent sucker right up against the grill plate and still get smoke blowing in your face. Good place though otherwise.

Just all around a good time. Fresh and quick. Plates were swapped often, and orders came out quick. Left fat and happy

The food and service were great. For $34 all you can eat, you can't beat it. The chicken, port, beef, and squid were all great. They even changed out our cooking plate 5 times for us.

This place is filthy, greasy floors & chairs but the worst is the meat. Very poor quality. Spicy pork was half a plate of pure fat, the steak was chewy. Staff was sweet though. You're better off going to fast food down the street at tasty BBQ where the side dishes are fresh & delicious.
