Safeway Deli (46065 Kamehameha Highway)

I enjoy shopping at Safeway. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which makes every visit a pleasant experience. I especially like the deli section—the food is consistently good, and the employees provide great service. The self-checkout is also very convenient and easy to use, making it quick to get in and out of the store. The prices are fair, and I can usually find everything I need in one trip. Overall, Safeway is a clean, well-run store with a great team.

I just bought half-and-half Land O Lakes brand. When I got home I looked at the expiration date March 30. It’s now April 9 so why is this product still in their refrigerator? Now I have to go back to Safeway to get reimbursed.

Just left your store in Kaneohe. Very terrible experience with one of your assistant managers. Something Hadasa or Mufasa . We went to the bakery and picked a cake. The lady said it was a few days old and she would give to us for half off. We thought ok nice. We wait in line for a long time to check out and when we get there the lady questions us about the cake as if we tried to pull a quick one or scam them from something and then tells us that she can’t sell to us cause it’s expired. Which is fine but why look at us and talk to us like we did something. She then said the sodas we bought are buy 2 get 3 free not get the third free so I said oh ok sweet. She said do you want the same flavor I’ll send someone I go that’s ok I’ll run and pick two others. She then gave attitude saying she was in a hurry trying to clear the line. I sprinted there and checked out. But the whole time she acted like we were the ones wasting her time. No kind of kindness or apology for wasting our time at the. Bakery getting name put on cake and treated us like we were an inconvenience. Very unprofessional. Makes me not want to come back.

Has a pretty good selection of groceries. I love the DMV Kiosk. So simple to use. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Safeway always have specials on Fridays called $5 Fridays! Of course you would have to go early since most items are limited. We love their $5 strawberry cake. It's usually sold for $14.99. So this is such a good deal! The cake is so moist, airy and light topped with a generous amount of whipped cream, some fresh strawberries and strawberry sauce. Another popular $5 Friday deal is their deep fried chicken. Eight large pieces! So tasty and crunchy! Each week have different deals!

Management does not seem to have a handle on his employees or the work load needed to keep the store functioning at a efficient level. Products frequently out of stock, produce is poor quality. When you find beautiful nectarines at $2.99 # they bagger DUMPS them at the bottom of the bag or puts heavy cans on them??!! Dryers ice cream frequently on sale, yay, but little or no stock. How can you continue to be out of stock of chocolate? In stock today but I wasn't going straight home. The produce department ALWAYS has 3 or more carts on the floor. Often with no clerk on the floor. Use one cart, stock return to whse to restock cart and return to store. Continue until done. Bakery Dept is fantastic. Always, neat, clean and well stocked. I've given up on the Deli. Location is fantastic, lots of parking.

$$$$ Among the most expensive grocery stores on-island. No, I don't want to shop on special days or play your Monopoly lottery game in order to score a decent deal. Prefer Foodland down the road or Even Whole Foods in Kailua.
