Great place for different kinds of Musubi and other local classics.

I had a great experience at Mass and Joyce and it is officially on my repeat list. Ordering was easy and the staff were friendly and welcoming right from the start. Parking was simple which already puts it ahead of the game before you even walk in. We ordered a solid spread including chicken musubi spam musubi a spicy tuna hand roll a California hand roll and two loco moco plates. Everything was packed with flavor and tasted fresh and satisfying. The loco moco especially hit the spot with rich savory comfort food vibes that made you want to slow down and enjoy every bite. For all of that food the total came out to about $55 which felt like a great value for both quality and portion size. They also have a good variety of drink options so it is easy to pair your meal with something refreshing. Another big plus is that you can order ahead for pickup which makes this an easy win for busy days when you still want something delicious. Mass and Joyce delivers great food friendly service and zero hassle which is exactly what you hope for in a local favorite.

Pretty standard, local, okazuya. Not many on the windward. It decent, my baseline for okazuya. Yakisoba is light on vegetables and meat. Fried chicken was slightly dry, but everything else is tasty. My go-to is the chicken katsu, nishime and seaweed wraps. The maki rolls are alright, so I usually don't get it. Service is pretty typical, since there are many people ordering. You have to order quickly, but they aren't rushing you. The environment just feels that way. Service is friendly. I wish you can sit down, like it was before covid. However, no place to sit so you have to take out only. Kind of lame, since most places allow sitting inside again. We got 3 plates, somen, and maki for about $65, it's not bad for the food you get.
