About
A DIY Hot Pot Experience in Windward Oahu
Situated right along the main thoroughfare in the heart of Kaneohe, Hawaii Pot Shabu Shabu House offers a hands-on culinary escape where you become the chef. The dining room buzzes with the steady hum of induction burners and the steam rising from bubbling pots, creating a communal atmosphere that thrives on conversation and experimentation. It is the kind of place where groups congregate for hours, loading their individual pots with thinly sliced prime rib, fresh local seafood, and an endless variety of mushrooms and leafy greens.
Customized Flavor Profiles
The hallmark of a visit here is the custom sauce bar. Lining the back of the room, you will find an extensive array of aromatics—minced garlic, cilantro, spicy chili oil, and sesame paste—allowing you to calibrate your dipping sauce to your exact spice tolerance. The house-made spicy broth carries a deep, numbing heat that pairs perfectly with the chilled, high-quality beef cuts brought straight to your table. Be prepared to navigate the parking situation, as the lot can get quite crowded during peak weekend dinner hours; arriving a bit early is a smart strategy to secure a spot without the stress.
Why Dine in Kaneohe
This spot is ideal for families or friends who enjoy a leisurely, interactive meal rather than a quick bite. The bright, straightforward decor keeps the focus entirely on the quality of the ingredients simmering in the center of the table. Whether you are craving a light vegetable-forward dinner or a protein-heavy feast, the ability to control your own cook time and flavor intensity makes this a staple of the local Windward dining scene. It serves as a go-to destination for those residing in the surrounding Koolau foothills looking for a hearty, customizable meal that feels both indulgent and fresh.

I come here once a month for lunch with my baby and friend! We love it here! First off, the service is consistently friendly. The server, Ming Ming, went out of her way, always checking if we had enough meat, and if we needed more soup. Her attentiveness deserves to be mentioned! Thanks for excellent service! Food-wise, expect quality meat, tasty soup base, lots of fresh vegetables, and a great amount of seafood! We also came here during dinner time where they serve snow crab! So ono! Either way, the prices are affordable for all-you-can-eat. We’ll keep coming back, this place is highly recommended.

The meat quality is good. I like the beef brisket and the Wagyu. They also have snow crab legs that have good meat in them. They have great broth flavor choices and after you’re done they have ice cream for desert. All you can eat and they service is quick and kind. The pictures on the wall are nice and the tables are big for large parties.
