Eastside Bar & Grill
About
Cold Beers and Kaneohe Character
Tucked away in the heart of Kaneohe, Eastside Bar & Grill serves as a quintessential neighborhood anchor where the pace slows down and the conversations carry. This is not a place for white-tablecloth pretense; it is a straightforward, no-nonsense spot where the sound of clinking glasses often competes with the hum of a local game playing on the screens overhead.
The Local Hook
Regulars flock here for the classic pub comfort food that defines the windward side experience. The menu leans heavily into reliable bar bites and hearty platters designed to be shared over a few rounds. If you find yourself craving a spot that captures the genuine spirit of Oʻahu beyond the tourist corridors, this is it.
A Living Room for the Neighborhood
The atmosphere is undeniably communal. Expect the space to be energetic on weekend nights when the local crowd gathers to unwind. While the parking lot can get a bit snug during peak hours, it only adds to the sense that you are visiting a place that truly belongs to the community. Whether you are looking to catch up with old friends or simply want to escape the humidity with an ice-cold local brew, the staff keeps the energy high and the drinks flowing. It is the kind of establishment where you might walk in as a stranger but pick up on the rhythm of Kaneohe life before your first pint is finished.

No one came to give us menus I made it a point to let them know I was their, the music was blasting super high couldn't hear my partner and the open sign was on but they definitely weren't ready for customers. I'm pregnant and was getting hungry so I walked around to the bar to ask for menus, they guy was nice enough to grab some when I asked, I sat there for about 15 mins with no one grabbing us water or asking what we would like to eat. So we left....wasn't worth it. Won't be back.

This is a new find for us. Friday they have music. Friendly and local style. Can't wait to take our mainland friends on their next visit. Hamburgers and fries are really good.

My wife and I visited East Side bar & grill twice during our Honeymoon and both experiences were amazing! The food is really good. You can’t go wrong with the calamari, it was our favourite. But what really made this place stand out is the customer service. Keoni served us both times and he truly made the experiences memorable! Also, this was the first time I ever tried Loco Moco and I was really impressed!

Nice little place. A little of a cafeteria feel, but the service, beer, and was really good. We just stopped in for a drink and snack. Got the salt and pepper shrimp and fried rice. Very large portions, serving my wife and myself, along with my grandkid. Highly recommend.

Nice bar. Great service. The French fries were great! The diet coke - not so great. The burger was tasty. The atmosphere was nice and had an open feel to it. Wish we were there for Trivia night but that was on Monday. All in all, the service was great!

I went in for lunch, and I could tell that they were understaffed when I walked in the door. One person in front maybe two in back. Not surprising seeing as it’s a new business and virtually everywhere is understaffed nowadays. But they managed to seat me. The server seemed a bit discombobulated, because things were not where they were supposed to be she said. Things calmed down in approximately five minutes. I sat at the bar and left the front of the house to the other guests. Maybe about six total while I was there. The server, Savannah was able to regroup and took my order. I ordered the paniolo burger. I was surprisingly satisfied by the topping’s quality and quantity. And it came out quick. HOWEVER, the bun was too weak to support that size of burger. It fell apart as I ate it. The fries were crisp and big and hot. The potato crab salad needed salt quite frankly, but totally edible. All in all I was satisfied with the whole experience. I was stuffed full. New places always have some ironing to do to get going. But East side bar and grill is off to a good start. Also, live music on select nights. Mahalo🤙🏽
