Sweet Journey Soft Serve

I was skeptical about macadamia nut based soft serve but this was sooooooo good!!! The vanilla dragon fruit swirl (I think that’s what it was) was so tasty and a perfect soft serve consistency. Hit the spot on a hot day!

OMG - the best of the best soft serve - top of that it is dairy free - plant based. I had their macadamia nut grade a Vanilla and pink dragon and it was DELICIOUS! I want to go back to Kona just so I can have soft serve from A Sweet Journey again.

This was such a fun and tasty place to get a very yummy treat and take a little break while looking at shops on Ali'i Drive in Kona. The whole family enjoyed the build your own sundae!

A true hidden gem here in Kona. Awesome soft serve with some amazing flavors. And the mango green ice tea shouldn’t be missed.

One of our favorite dessert places on the island! Seriously delicious and mysteriously vegan—how you can get dairy free ice cream to taste better than its namesake is beyond me but they do it. The sauces, garnishes and brownies are just as phenomenal as the soft-serves. Our favorites were the chia pudding sundae and the Kilauea chocolate sundae but I think they have discontinued them (hint hint! Bring them back!) We also love the Ube sundae. Great place and friendly owners!

We were in Kona for four days she we had this ice cream 6 times !! That’s how good it was ! Probably the best ice cream we have ever had hands down ! Just tasted so fresh and delicious and it’s made of cashew and Mac nut ! The place is really special and the staff is super friendly ! A true gem in Kona !

I had no idea this place was vegan before we went. The ice cream photos looked so good I wanted to try it. My husband and I shared a bowl and a strawberry milkshake. Unfortunately, I can't remember what the bowl was called, but it had dragon fruit ice cream and a bunch of fruit. This is the creamiest ice cream I've ever had. I would eat this every day over any dairy based soft serve ice had. The macadamia nut base adds a nice flavor to it too. I wouldn't get a milkshake again. It tasted like a great vanilla milkshake, but there was no strawberry flavor. The bowl was mind-blowingly good. I wish I lived in Hawaii just so I could come here more often.

Incredible restaurant with incredible ice cream and food. It was so good that we didn’t even realize it was vegan. The soft serve is smoother and creamier than most regular ice creams I’ve had. Mac and cheese was also delicious, especially with some hot sauce on top.
