Subway - Kailua-Kona (Makala Blvd.)

Horrible service. I rarely post bad reviews for any one but i really had horrible experience. Specially one of the staff member was very rude. I had four sandwiches and the person who was making the sandwiches was trainee. Which was fine, but the one who was mentoring him was very rude. I was being slow so the trainee can keep up and make good sandwich. But the mentor was just rude and rushing us through it. I can tell the trainee waa also getting confused becuase they keep interrupting us. I am a tourist here so I doubt I am ever going to come but I would advise others to think twice before they go here

Jonny was working behind the counter and was very much in a hurry. Kept asking anything else after I said the sauce and onions on a veggie sub (yeah I actually would like some veggies on my sub) wouldn’t let us even get it a word out before he says is that all? Yeah. I think he could use a little training.

Haven’t been to Subway in a while and I’m so glad we decided on eating there today. Johnny was so cool! They greeted us upon entrance and overall had great energy. Very fast & efficient- I can tell they are hardworking. Such a kind person. Great experience & ʻono food! Mahalo Johnny <3

Had to show some love to Johnny & Destiny at Subway in Kona Commons🤙🏽🔥 every time I come through they take care of me with the BEST service, always fast, friendly, and straight up ONO every single time! You can tell they really care about what they do and it shows in the food and the vibe. If you like that real local kine service where you feel welcomed and taken care of, this is the spot💯 appreciate you both always holding it down!

I absolutely LOVE Johnny. Me and my boyfriend haven’t been there in months and he recognized us. Such a great worker, he deserves a raise for sure. So on it and always greeting everyone that comes in. Our ordered was made perfect and fast and may I add with awesome customer service. 10/10 recommended this subway. All thanks to Johnny !!<3

Johnny was incredibly passive aggressive and sassy. He was rushing us before we can even get a word out of what we wanted to order. Top it off my sandwich was barely toasted. I get having a bad day but don’t take it out on the customers who did nothing wrong. I had to eat outside because he didn’t make us feel welcome.

The person making our subs were amazing, I believe his name was Dan. However, he was working completely alone even at the busiest hour. He had to prepare DoorDash orders, do customer orders, and prep food all at once. He was working extremely fast and was great with customers but was clearly overworked and doing a 3 person job. Shame on his manager and the owner for making him work alone, it was very upsetting to see. I honestly don’t know how that is okay to overwork someone to that level and even expect more from them.

Johnny Ria were absolutely amazing and they always provide the best customer service experience always being the kind hearted people that they are. They were really fast and they also are very precise and when they get busy, they are very awesome with handling a crowd and they both are good work dual together. I love their positive attitude. They always bring good energy which also makes people want to come back. I could say I’m a repeated customer here in the Kona Commons location and they have always been the most amazing people with getting customer service and getting what you want when you want it.
