Safeway Deli (200 Hamakua Drive)

At deli, 10 AM, to order two sandwiches. Told by employee she could slice up some meat for us, but otherwise couldn't make a sandwich because she had 10 orders to fill...phone in, we suppose, as there was no one else at counter. So you have time to slice ingredients but not assemble a sandwich? Guess we should have asked her to call for help, but we were so off put by her attitude, walked away. Take note, Safeway manager, you're losing customers due to deli employee lack of service..

It's a grocery store. Are you an adult? Have you been to a grocery store before? That's what this is. I will say they have some great sales if you get the app and sign up with your phone number. Some of the cheapest I've seen on the island besides Walmart. Other than that, do you need groceries, go here, if you don't, then don't.

Dosa batter was old so taste was bit soar other then that all ok

Clean, well organized store. If you join their loyalty program and watch for deals, the sale prices are ok. Be sure to enter your phone number when checking out so you get discounts.

Stopped in for a few items, and needed an associates help. Props to John J for being helpful and personable. It was pouring rain and he was walking people to their cars with umbrellas. Talk about A+ service!

They have a seafood department and great choice of poke, it was fresh and delicious! Also the service was great!

This says Kailua Safeway which is in Kailua on Hamakua. This is a review on Manoa Safeway. Can't seem to change the location review. Nice, quaint, grocery store tucked away in the heart of Manoa. Its on the smaller scale so you don't feel overwhelmed. Departments close early meaning lights out by 7p. Manoa is a quiet, elderly community or college kids just passing thru. They have excellent produce. Fridays are the busiest day of the wk bcuz they run a $5/friday ad. Each dept will have something on sale for $5 or $5/lb. Come early or expect that they may run out. "Early bird gets the worm" Free prkg is available but there are a lot of other great business in the area. Beware of those who dk how to park or drive. Don't be surprised if your car has a new dent or scratch. 🙄

Clean Safeway that is well staffed. Nice deli with pre made foods. Good alcohol selection with decent price.
