I have wanted to dine here for years. Finally made it happen. Did not disappoint. Gorgeous location, hospitality beyond compare from exiting our vehicle to leaving the property. Generous, welcoming staff, exquisite food, kind, attentive, gracious dinner service by our server, Kayla. Thank you so much for a memorable evening.

Amazing experience celebrating Birthday. This restaurant really know how to make you feel special. The food is yummy and fresh. And the excellent hospitality provided by entire staff but hats off to Cisco- incredible with al recommendation attention to details. You just can see how guest loves restaurant because of him.

Went here for my husband & I’s anniversary and it was the PERFECT spot 😍 the views were absolutely incredible ocean front with sunset. We arrived early to walk the grounds which I highly recommend! We got a drink at the “shipwreck bar” which was a unique and equally fun experience. The service at Moana was top tier and the waiters were very accommodating and kind. We loved the food & got “happy anniversary” on our dessert added which made it picture perfect. Definitely recommend going if you want to experience a romantic evening with your loved one!❤️

Our experience with Moana began even before we arrived. I contacted the resort directly to request a reservation for Christmas week; despite not being guests at the resort, the staff was incredibly responsive and accommodating, offering several reservation options. ​Once we arrived, the evening was flawless. Our server, Rowena, was excellent—attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. The setting is romantic and relaxing, made even easier by the complimentary valet parking. ​The food was easily some of the best we’ve had on our trip. The octopus, scallops and fish was cooked to perfection, served with accompaniments that complemented the flavors without overshadowing the fresh catch. Most importantly, they took my allergy seriously, which allowed me to relax and truly enjoy the meal. Highly recommend!

We come to Hualalai usually at least once a year and were excited to visit Kona Village when the renovations and rebuild were complete and the restaurants were open. So, we were excited to come to Moana for our anniversary dinner. What an exceptional dining experience. The environment and room are magical, the service world class (Craig was one of the best waiters I’ve ever had), and the food truly exceptional. We have the oysters, which were so delicious, we had the strawberry tomato salad and the sticky ribs, which were huge, but delicious… We had the catch of the day, which was Mahi Mahi and the snapper and both were really exceptional. I couldn’t have asked for a better anniversary dinner. We will definitely be coming back to this wonderful dining establishment, Every time we come to Hawaii. Totally magical 💖💖💖🎉🌴

A fantastic spot for the most scenic dinner on the island. The food was terrific, the service excellent, and the sunset spectacular. After dinner we walked around and looked at the other options at the resort, all looked great. Several bars -- one serves sushi in an old ship -- and a slightly more casual restaurant. You don't have to be a guest at the hotel to dine here, so it's well worth it. Valet parking is free, but be sure to have cash for a gratuity (there's an ATM on site just in case). I look forward to coming back the next time I'm in Hawaii visiting my sister.

Absolutely outstanding experience at Moana. We came with friends and were blown away from start to finish. The food was exceptional, fresh, perfectly prepared and easily the best we have had on the island. The atmosphere is unbeatable with a stunning view of the ocean as the sun sets. Service was flawless, attentive without being intrusive and the complimentary valet parking made everything effortless. If you are in Kona and looking for a world class dining experience, Moana should be at the very top of your list.

Food was great and service not rushed. I deducted a star for not replacing utensils between courses until requested and not offering cracked pepper on the salad. Oh, and the wine came after ate app. BUT - the food, view and ambiance were great. The 8 oz pork chop was a hit with the hubster and my favorite was the abalone. Also the Old fashioned was killer.

Incredible dining experience! My wife and I came here for dinner on a Thursday night and our entire evening was wonderful. Our reservation was right after sunset and our table was right next to the beach. It was the most perfect atmosphere you could ask for! The entire layout and decor of the restaurant was incredible - really paying tribute to the pacific rim. Our server was excellent and took very good care of us throughout dinner. We started with an order of the Sticky Pork Ribs, which were absolutely devine! The flavor was incredible and the meat fell right off the bone. For our entrees, my wife ordered the Maitake Mushroom Risotto encircled with Parmesan foam and I ordered the Huli Huli Kurobuta Porcj Chop that was served with pork jus & meaux mustard, red wine braised cabbage & pineapple, and fondant potato. Everything was prepared perfectly and the flavor was out of this world! The pairings that came with the pork chop all complemented each other and my wife really enjoyed her risotto. We saved room for dessert for we ended up sharing the Pineapple Upside Down Cake made with toffee pudding cake, pineapple salsa, candied macnut powder, and vanilla ice cream. Needless to say, it was fantastic as well and all the flavors together were a perfect combination! Overall, this was an exceptional dining experience! We both cannot wait to come back again!

This was a wonderful dining experience! The restaurant is beautiful, service very personable and hospitable, and the food is amazing. We had three courses and our favorite was probably dessert: their homemade pineapple upside down cake! Truly a great place for a special occasion.
