I was greeted by a gentleman named Richard who sat me. He was transparent about being short-staffed in front and back of house for the day and warned me about a long wait time. I agreed to the wait and was sat. After that, I watched a lone server named CC run the entire floor on her own with style and grace. She was kind, detail-oriented, and extremely attentive to everything I wanted or needed. I probably waited well over an hour for my food. But while I waited, I enjoyed watching the water and the people around me. And I especially loved listening to live guitar paired with beautiful singing by a sweet, older gentleman. The food was entirely worth the wait. I ordered the fruit plate and tropical huevos rancheros. A young man greeted me with a friendly, "Aloha" while serving the food. 😊 The fruit was all fresh, ripened to perfection, and plated beautifully. The huevos rancheros bursted with flavor combinations totally unique to me. There was no need for salt or pepper. I savored every bite. A really lovely experience. But you will need to be patient until they can get the staff they need. A note, if I may: Richard, please give CC all the support you can give her 🙏🏾 She is virtually alone up there. You're the boss but she's the star. Do everything she says!

We have eaten here every trip and the breakfast is among the best we have tasted in these islands. Fruit plate had so many interesting tastes and if you like French Toast-get it here. Also bonus there was really lovely live music.

Obsessed with this little brunch place - from the elegantly displayed food, to the delicious hand-curated mimosas and the VIEW - couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. We ate here on 2 separate vacations to the Big Island, and both times had the same vibes. Mahalo!!

Servers were a delight and so kind! French toast was delicious, i enjoyed the ham and sausage too! Homemade banana bread was wonderful. Love the ocean views!

Service was slow since they were understaffed. Seems to be a trend in this area. Live music on Friday when we were there. Portions are small for what you get. I had the sweet bread, French toast and they could offer more than two pieces.

Came on a weekday early in the morning with no cruise ships in port. Sat outside with a musician playing as we ate breakfast. Beautiful fruit plate and love that many breakfasts were served with banana bread. The waffles and pancake were amazing and the meals were all generous. Highly recommend. Excellent service. Very fresh food. Will be back.

Best breakfast on Alii, by far. Unlike the other restaurants, this place makes every item fresh when ordered. (Looking at your hours-old potatoes, Fish Hopper. NOT eating them though cause they're gross) I've tried every breakfast restaurant in Kona, now I only go here. Every time. From basic 2 egg breakfast to the best French toast you'll have in your life, GO HERE. You won't regret it.

This place is one of my favorites on Kona. Laid back atmosphere right across from the ocean Bay live music from an amazing and informative local the food. I have tried many of the dishes, but I always come back to the French toast. I’m not a French toast person, but I can’t help but dream about this dish. The bread is soft and airy and it seems to have some sort of custardy goodness inside. Comes with Lilikoi syrup and fresh coconut cream. You cannot go wrong with this dish. I also have to give a shout out to the bloody Mary’s one of the best. On Sunday they have a different brunch menu. I tried the salmon Benedict. It was delicious eggs poached to perfection. You can even buy banana bread by the half loaf or full loaf.

We came here to have breakfast on a Saturday morning around 9 and we got nice seats on the railing with a wonderful ocean view. The whole place has a charming flair and the staff is amazing. I’m not lying, I had the best French toast I’ve ever had, you can also order half French toast and half waffles. They had a great Hawaiian live musician who played chill songs :)

Food was fresh and delicious. I had the fruit plate and my husband had the waffles and French toast. His plate came with an egg and choice of bacon or sausage. They had a live musican that played music from around the island, and he gave some history about the island and stories. The view was beautiful. Service was excellent.
