Cultivate Good Food
About
Fresh Flavors in the Heart of Kona
Stepping into Cultivate Good Food, you immediately notice the shift away from standard tourist fare. Located right in the vibrant center of Kailua-Kona, this spot has carved out a niche for those craving nutrient-dense meals that actually prioritize local sourcing. The atmosphere is casual and open, making it a perfect quick-stop for a post-snorkel lunch or a healthy midday recharge while exploring the Big Island’s western coastline.
The Menu Philosophy
Chef-driven and ingredient-forward, the menu features creative bowls and rotating seasonal specials that highlight Hawaiian produce. You will find staples like their robust acai bowls topped with fresh local honey and house-made granola, alongside savory options featuring island-caught fish or farm-fresh greens. The scent of fresh ginger and citrus often fills the small space, signaling that the ingredients were prepped just hours before.
What to Expect
While the food is stellar, keep in mind that the footprint is modest. The seating is efficient, and during the lunch rush, it can feel a bit lively—or even crowded—so it is often best to grab your meal to-go and head toward the nearby oceanfront park to enjoy the breeze. The staff maintains a fast-paced environment, reflecting the laid-back yet productive energy of the Kona business district. If you are looking for an unpretentious, high-quality bite that leaves you feeling fueled rather than weighed down, this is the go-to destination on the Kona coast.

We got the Thai wrap and it’s fantastic. An ideal lunch. Fresh and healthy ingredients and a big portion. We also got one of the juices (cultivate awareness) which is also great. This is a perfect spot if you’re looking for healthy food and want something in a bowl or in a wrap.

Big delicious wraps filled with fresh veggies. Very healthy and a fair price. Perfect for a fresh Hawaii lunch!

I think there needs to be some quality control. This was entirely too much lettuce. The wrap couldn't even close all the way. I ended up having to take it a part and remove a bunch of the lettuce, so I could eat it without it spilling everywhere. The non-lettuce parts were very good.

Loved my stop at Cultivate Good Food. Service was friendly and generously offered me a taste-test of the "coconut bacon"-- the unique combination of sweet and savory sealed the deal on me grabbing the BLT wrap. Ingredients were deliciously fresh and portion was generous for the price...my wrap was positively bursting with crisp vegetables! Will definitely stop again when I'm driving by.

Visiting Hawaii and stopped by for lunch as we went up to the volcanos. Got a coconut blt wrap with a lilikoi (passion fruit) lemonade - lemonade was great, it was clearly fresh and they also had fresh juice available. The wrap was really tasty and fresh. If you're in a rush, make sure to call ahead, everything is made to order

Last time I came here I hated this place. No juice. Horrible customer service. I swore I would never come back. Here I am coming back and, WHAT A CHANGE. PFT. I WILL ALWAYS EAT HERE AS LONG AS IT STAYS THIS WAY !!!!! Get Culitvate Joy juice and, the chickpea salad sub the tomato’s for beets.

Ordered the chickpea curry. Got lettuce with a small smattering of everything else. I really wanted to like this, but I could only taste the lettuce with a slight hint of the curry. We also ordered the Coconut BLT salad, which again mainly had lettuce and ZERO coconut bacon. I could have both these dishes from Safeway for $10 instead of the $38 I spent here.

We ordered wraps and a salad, and both were big enough to share. Service was great, and price definitely reasonable for the portion sizes. I forgot to take a "before" picture of my Mediterranean salad because I was so ready to dig in!

This place is great, super cute and the food is wonderful. The juice is a little expensive but the wraps are 100% worth the price.
