Garden Of Eden Botanical Garden

This ended up being a last minute addition to our Road to Hana day, and I’m so glad we decided to stop. We had to keep moving because we were trying to make it to a trailhead, but I wish we had given ourselves more time here. There were so many unique tropical plants to see, my favs being the bamboo forest and 100 year old mango tree. The views overlooking the ocean and waterfalls were also so beautiful. Even though we only spent about an hour here, it was absolutely worth it. If you’re driving the Road to Hana, I’d definitely put this on your list & plan for a little more time because it’s one of those places that’s easy to slow down and enjoy.

Garden of Eden Arboretum could easily be an all day trip, it is family friendly, offering wonderful views of the Ocean, make sure to bring quarters so you can feed the local birds and ducks, there is acute art gallery and café to stop for a bite after all the adventuring through the garden! ♥️

Skip this on the road to Hana!!! After waiting 30 minutes to enter and paying the $20 per person fee, we instantly regretted stopping here. They advertise driving or walking options but the driving "trail" was really between parking lots with nothing to see. The walking trails were poorly signed. 2 stars because there were some pretty things to see and the bathrooms were clean enough, but overall skip unless you have ample time.

Fantastic place to a break while driving the whole Hana Hwy. There is a food outlet upon entering the Gardens. Good snacks and drinks. The Garden (20/person entry fee) is well worth it. The walking trails are well maintained and easy. Good for stretching the legs after a winding at times hair raising drive on the Hana Highway. Water vistas are splendid.

On my trip to Maui, Hawaii, I had the opportunity to visit this place. It's beautiful and perfect for a hike, with stunning views. The entrance fee is $20 per person. There's a waterfall outside the property, but the restrooms are dirty. In my opinion, if you love nature, it's perfect for you.

So many gorgeous birds. Peacocks are the highlight of the visit! Loved the jurassic park shot near the lily pond as well. A short hike down from there takes you to some scenic views also. The cafe on site feels overpriced but it is what it is. 100% recommend as a stop on the Road to Hana

Beautiful location, very well maintained. Extremely picturesque and tranquil environment. The owners put some incredible effort into creating this mini paradise and you can tell that they treat this place with love and respect. Not cheap at $10 per person to enter, but when you think of the amount of work that has gone in to create and maintain this beautiful place, it’s really nothing. Make sure you stop by and include this in your trip along the coastal road.

Beautiful location definitely worth checking out. While the paths are gravel they still can be pretty steep. That being said there are still plenty of amazing views and picnic/ relaxation spots for those with mobility issues. We would definitely return if in the area again

The Scenery: This place truly lives up to its name. You will immediately see why it's called the "Garden of Eden." It features a massive variety of various types of trees and plants. The location is beautiful, offering spectacular views looking out into the valley and down to the waterfalls. It is a photographer's paradise. ​Logistics & Facilities: ​Walking: The paths are walkable and generally easy to navigate. ​Parking: There is enough parking available, so you don't have to stress about finding a spot. ​Maintenance: The facilities are a bit mixed. While there is a bathroom at the visitor center, it was not well maintained. Also, be aware there are no trash cans for food waste, so prepare to pack your trash out with you. ​Value: The entry fee is around $20 per person (plus tax/fees). Given the cost and the facility issues, I would recommend this as a "one-time visit." It is definitely worth seeing once for the views, but perhaps not a repeat stop. ​Verdict: A stunning stop on the Road to Hana to stretch your legs and see nature, just manage your expectations on the bathrooms!

So worth the reasonable price and the gorgeous drive! Right when we parked, we were swarmed by ducks, peafowl and doves begging for food (you can buy bird food there, but we happened to have already had some in our car) and they were happy to eat straight from our hands. I don't recommend kids doing that - it will probably hurt their little hands. The plant life and views were spectacular - what an enchanting and special place! There are flowers, trees, vines, various fruits growing everywhere (don't pick them), towering bamboo groves and bunches, a massive century old mango tree - just such a biodiverse place that is magical everywhere you look. We ended up talking to a really lovely employee for a while on our way out and pet a friendly old cat. (I wish I had something more to feed her, we gave her some cheese, but I wish we had had cat food with us). The guy who worked there talked with us for a while and we gushed about what a great time we had, and we could tell it really meant something to him that we had such a great time. Meeting him was a great way to cap off the amazing visit we had. Haha, and then a peacock attached his own reflection in our car, but did no damage. A+ visit! Highly recommend!
