Aunty Sandy's Banana Bread

We enjoyed the fresh banana bread, although it wasn’t our favorite during the trip. I wish when they serve fresh banana bread they would not wrap it in plastic- once it cooled the texture was a bit unpleasant, and we attributed this to it not cooling properly in its wrapping. The line moves fast!

We stopped here on the Road to Hana and it was in a beautiful location and came at just the right time when we were all hungry. We got a pulled pork sandwich and banana bread. Our group actually got the last piece of banana bread! We got there around 1:00pm. The sandwich was good and the banana bread was big and served warm! We enjoyed eating our food and watching the waves. FYI there are no bathrooms here so plan accordingly.

Aunty Sandy’s banana bread lives up to the hype. Admittedly, it looks quite basic — but it is delicious, flavorful, and served warm! Absolutely worth it. We also had the Kahlua pork sandwich, and that was equally delicious as well.

The banana bread was pretty good but I would only stop if you’re actually hungry. The line was really long this is like an hour long stop. It’s one of those things that’s only worth it once. The staff was really nice and the views across the street were really pretty! And I know they were in there working HARD to get bread out to that many people.

Aunty Sandy’s Banana Bread is a well-known stop along the Road to Hana. While the banana bread was moderate in taste and nothing particularly special or memorable, it was still enjoyable. That said, the location is beautiful and worth the stop, especially if you’re already driving the Road to Hana. I’d also recommend trying other roadside vendors that offer freshly baked goods, such as pineapple and coconut bread, which can be more unique and flavorful.
