Tucked away in the lush, rolling landscapes of Haiku, De Coite Packing House Inc remains a cornerstone of local flavor. This isn't your polished resort dining; it is a straightforward, no-nonsense stop where the scent of seasoned meats and island-grown ingredients defines the space. The Flavor Profile of Haiku
Known primarily for their connection to the island's agricultural roots, the menu highlights traditional preparation methods that prioritize freshness over fancy presentation. The signature cuts are the main draw here, reflecting a deep understanding of Maui's ranching heritage. Whether you are grabbing supplies for a backyard imu or looking for that specific, hard-to-find cut of local beef, the quality is consistent and deeply rooted in the community.
Know Before You Go
The operation is quintessential Haiku—purposeful and unpretentious. Be prepared for a space that values efficiency over frills. The parking area can get a bit tight during peak pickup hours, so plan your arrival accordingly if you are navigating a larger vehicle. It is the ideal destination for residents and visitors alike who want to bypass the tourist traps and connect with the authentic supply chain of Maui’s food scene. The hum of industrial coolers and the sharp, clean scent of a working butchery set the scene for a truly local experience.

This has got to be one of the worst places to do business on Maui. They weighed the meat incorrectly and that cost me an extra $200 as when I got home I noticed the huge difference in weight. Stupid me I should have brought my own scale with me to their weight measurements but I didn't think that anybody would be that crooked . They also substituted edible meat with big pieces of fat and big knuckle bones which neither are of use to anyone. My recommendation is not to even set foot in this place. And to top it off the management staff were very rude.
