Saito & Pho Restaurant
About
A for Pho Lovers in Ewa Beach
Tucked away in the heart of Ewa Beach, Saito & Pho Restaurant serves as a straightforward sanctuary for those craving traditional Vietnamese comfort food. The atmosphere is unpretentious and focused entirely on the bowl in front of you. When you walk through the doors, the air is thick with the aromatic steam of star anise, cinnamon, and slow-simmered beef marrow—a scent that instantly promises a restorative meal.
The Signature Slurp
The menu centers on their namesake pho, which arrives with a broth that balances clarity and depth. Unlike many places that rely on heavy seasonings, the soup here highlights the quality of the beef. It is common for locals to order the classic combination pho, topped with generous portions of brisket and tendon. You will hear the rhythmic clinking of chopsticks against ceramic bowls and the occasional hum of a television in the background, creating a casual, no-frills environment that feels like a home kitchen.
Navigating Your Visit
This spot is ideal for a quick, satisfying lunch or a low-key dinner when you want to avoid the crowds of downtown Honolulu. While the space is cozy and inviting, be mindful that parking in the immediate vicinity can get tight during peak hours, so give yourself a few extra minutes to find a spot. Whether you are a regular coming for your weekly fix or a visitor looking to escape the main tourist corridors, the service is efficient and the flavors are reliably consistent. It is a no-nonsense local establishment that respects the heritage of Vietnamese noodle soups while keeping things simple for the Ewa Beach community.

For over a decade Saito and Pho Restaurant has been providing unique flavors, fun fusions, and bringing the comfort food dishes of the japanese and Vietnamese culture to their menu. Serve is fair, parking is limited, and they accepts cash or credit card payment.

ordered the eye-round steak and brisket pho along with the wafu steak, plus the tempura and sashimi add-on (which came with two shrimp, a few veggies, and five pieces of sashimi). From the moment we sat down to the moment we left, we kept hearing the sound of sizzling plates coming from the kitchen, that’s the wafu steak, and it’s absolutely worth the noise. It was tender, flavorful, and easily my favorite dish of the night, honestly even better than their pho, which was still very good. While I probably wouldn’t come back specifically for the pho, I’d come back for that wafu steak any day. The restaurant stayed busy the entire time we were there, the staff did a good job keeping our waters full, and the place was decently clean despite the crowd. Overall, great food, lively atmosphere, and that wafu steak alone makes this spot worth visiting.
