Fresh Brews in the Heart of Ewa Beach

Finding a reliable spot for a handcrafted drink in West Oahu just got easier. Chaipatea brings a refreshing focus on high-quality tea leaves and carefully balanced sweetness levels to the local community. Whether you are coming off a long afternoon at the beach or seeking a quiet corner to finish some work, the shop offers a clean, modern aesthetic that feels like a calm retreat from the Ewa Beach heat.

The Signature Sip

The menu leans heavily into the artistry of milk teas and fruit-infused blends. Their signature brown sugar boba is the standout; the pearls are cooked to a precise chewiness that holds its texture even in iced drinks. You will notice the rich, caramelized aroma the moment you step inside—a sweet departure from the usual salt-air breeze of the Leeward coast. If you prefer something lighter, the fruit teas feature genuine pulp and slices, offering a crisp, clean profile that avoids the syrupy aftertaste common in many chain shops.

Local Vibe and Quick Observations

The space is bright and airy, making it a favorite for students and local families grabbing a post-school treat. A minor note for those driving in: the parking lot can get quite congested during peak afternoon hours as the plaza fills up, so give yourself an extra five minutes to secure a spot. The baristas are efficient, rarely letting a queue slow down the momentum. It is a no-frills, high-impact destination for anyone who treats their afternoon caffeine break as a serious ritual.

Did the Domokase Omakase and it was beyond five stars. Every single dish that came out was flavorful and delicious. This is well worth it. Additionally we also did some individual entrees since the menu looked so good. It’s a great variety. Those scallops take the cake. The sauce is to die for. Kealia was delight and fast and quick with service. She gave terrific recommendations too. We will be coming back again. We actually texted a friend in Hong Kong they need to come here!

5/5 Stars – Incredible food, great value, and beautiful views! I did an early walk-in seating with no reservation and was seated immediately. The service here is fantastic—the entire staff was super friendly and attentive from the moment I walked in until I left. I ordered the truffle fries (huge, delicious portion) and the Domokase set. Every bite of the set was exceptionally flavorful, with the shrimp being my absolute favorite. The best part? Normally, an omakase set runs you $250+ and leaves you hungry enough for a McDonald's run after. This set actually left me completely full and satisfied. The space itself is beautiful, clean, and airy with high ceilings and wide windows looking out over the golf course. (Bonus points for the bathroom smelling amazing, like Jo Malone). It’s worth the drive to the end of Ewa Beach—I’ll definitely be back!

Dropped by DomoDomo in Ewa Beach and had a solid experience. The presentation on everything is nice and the customer service is really good—the staff is super attentive. The Food: The steak and the broccoli are really delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal. The loco moco was just ok, but overall the food is good. Price & Parking: Prices are a kind of up there, but the quality makes it worth it. Plus, there is plenty of parking, which makes coming here totally stress-free.

Delicious lunch options! Generous banchan to start the meal. Corn ribs are crispy and tender. Miso salmon was tasty with a generous serving for lunch. The star turned out to be the grilled broccolini topped with a sweet and savory thick maple truffle soy sauce which needs a spoon to finish every drop! Not busy for a late lunch meal!

I had an amazing experience here! The food was incredible and the pork katsu was out of this world!!! Food came out quickly. Every dish was well-prepared and exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was great, and the overall dining experience was excellent. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dinner.

Hoon was amazing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The whole experience was top notch. Hoons service is 5 stars, like being at the four seasons— the quality of the food, menu and service are top notch. It’s a newly renovated restaurant Michelin nominated from NYC and we had a cucumber spritz cocktail, broccolini for appetizers and sushi and tonkatsu for mains, with black sesame panna cottage for dessert. Highly recommend! You wont be disappointed! We live in town and would make the drive just for this restaurant! Also perfect for post golf happy hour. Thank you Hoon and Domo Domo!

Came for lunch. We got 2 different apps; agedashi tofu, fries corn, and all were good. One bonus- it came with side dishes! So good. Our entrees; miso salmon, ebi katsu, and galbi loco moco, and shrimp tempura roll were all good as well and very tasty! Service was great, atmosphere also great! I requested the window seating which they honored. :)

It was my first experience here and we loved it. My parents raved about the pork katsu because it was their second time here. The shrimp katsu was so big and juice and both were so crispy and fresh! The galbi loco moco was so filling and the gravy was flavorful and complimented the patties so well. The wafu steak was amazing! The appetizers both so good, loved that the nori stayed crispy with the wrapper on it! Everything was 10/10 and our server mercy was so sweet! Would come back again for sure.

Second visit and still amazing!!!! The view is incredible! A bright blue Ocean, a lush green golf course, and even Airplanes flying overhead. Also, The interior is elegant and upscale😍 This time, I tried several appetizers, pork cutlet, and the Nagasaki-style udon. The spicy udon was amazing, and everything we ordered was some of the best food I’ve had in Hawaii. Even the salad was uniquely delicious. I’ll definitely be back!!!

In my opinion, this is the best Japanese restaurant on Oahu. I had lunch boxes during my round at Ewa Beach and then enjoyed dinner after golf. The quality of the sushi and rolls was exceptional, with a wonderful balance of flavors. The restaurant offers stunning views with the ocean on one side and the golf course on the other. The sashimi was remarkably fresh, and the fried dishes—including tonkatsu, menchi katsu, and Korean-style fried chicken—were all delicious. Even the desserts left a lasting impression, particularly the matcha shaved ice and their unique crème brûlée. It was truly a memorable dining experience. As the only Hawaiian branch of an already renowned New York establishment, having access to this caliber of restaurant on both ends of the mainland is truly a privilege for Hawaii residents. While it makes for a perfect post-round meal after playing at Ewa Beach or Hoakalei, this restaurant is absolutely worth visiting even if you're not golfing. It stands on its own merits as a premier dining destination.
