Ewa Pointe Chinese Restaurant
About
Local Comfort in the Heart of Ewa Beach
If you find yourself navigating the bustling streets of Ewa Beach, Ewa Pointe Chinese Restaurant serves as a reliable anchor for those craving traditional, no-frills Cantonese-style comfort. It is the type of place that values substance over flair—a quiet, dependable neighborhood staple where the kitchen focuses on the steady execution of local favorites.
The Flavor of Tradition
The kitchen here specializes in the classics that define Hawaii’s Chinese dining scene. Expect large, steam-filled plates of char siu pork, savory shrimp with mixed vegetables, and hearty portions of fried rice that arrive smelling of toasted sesame oil and wok-char. The aroma of ginger and scallions often hangs heavy in the air, signaling the freshness of the stir-fry station. Whether you are grabbing a quick takeout box after a long day or sitting down for a family-style meal, the menu provides a familiar comfort that hits the spot without pretense.
What to Expect
The atmosphere is unassuming and functional, making it a preferred choice for casual lunch breaks or low-key weeknight dinners. It is a space designed for locals, not for tourists seeking white-tablecloth service. Be prepared for a modest dining room that can get quite lively during the dinner rush. A quick tip for newcomers: the parking lot can get a bit tight when the surrounding Ewa Beach businesses are busy, so plan your arrival accordingly. The service is straightforward and efficient, meant to get hot, satisfying food to your table quickly so you can get back to your day.

After golf, I went to a nearby Chinese restaurant and had dinner. Garlic fried rice and Ongcho were delicious. They were so kind and nice. This is a restaurant I would like to recommend to everyone.

First time trying here. Ordered take out since i was in the area. The food was good. We ordered the stir fried ong choi with chicken, egg fuyung, spareribs with pepper salt, crispy gau gee mein, and garlic chicken which was a house special. Every thing tasted great except the garlic chicken. The flavor was there but the chicken was so over cooked it was dry and chewy which was disappointing as I got this for my kids since they are on the picky side. The staff was super nice and friendly. Would come back again and try other dishes.

Ordered the lunch plate, beef chow fun, egg foo young, and lemon chicken. Everything on the lunch plate tasted so plain and old, beef chow fun was greasy and tasteless. Egg foo young was just a pan fried egg, no gravy, no rice for $15 The only edible thing was the lemon chicken After eating some of the food my stomach starting to hurt… will not order from here again.
