About
A Pearl City Staple for Honest Local Eats
When you find yourself in the heart of Pearl City looking for a meal that hits the spot without the pretense, Miki's is the destination. This spot captures the essence of a traditional Hawaiian plate lunch joint, where the aroma of shoyu-marinated proteins and the faint, savory scent of furikake-dusted rice greet you the moment you step through the door.
The Flavor of the Neighborhood
Miki's has built a following by mastering the classics. The kitchen leans heavily into local comfort food, serving generous portions of tender beef stew, crispy chicken katsu, and fresh fish preparations that feel like they came straight from a family kitchen. The texture of their mac salad—always creamy, slightly tangy, and perfectly chilled—is often cited by regulars as the benchmark for the island.
What to Expect
The energy here is brisk and functional. It is not a place for lingering over long, slow-paced dinners; it is a hub for residents grabbing a robust lunch before heading back to work or families picking up a hearty dinner to enjoy at home. You might notice the room gets a bit lively during the peak lunch rush, but the efficiency of the staff keeps the line moving steadily. Parking can get a little tight in the surrounding lot during mid-day, so keep a sharp eye out for spots as they open up. Whether you are a long-time resident of the Leeward side or just passing through the Pearl City area, Miki's delivers a straightforward, authentic dining experience that prioritizes quality ingredients and local heart over frills.

Nothing much to say, been going here since I was a kid. Always a good choice for a late night plate lunch. Theyre expensive now, but foods still good

I was told that the owners of Miki’s opened this business to serve food for all the people working graveyard shift or finished work late. With that being said, this place has the best food anywhere in this time frame 12am - 3am. Miki’s is an amazing change of food choices for late at night. -The plates are cheaper with big servings compared to other places. -Lines get long but the wait time after ordering is never past 10 minutes. -Parking is fun because it’s either on the curb or the side of the street. People reviewing this place needs to realize this hole-in-the-wall food business is meant for people like me. Those who work late into the night, that’s my demographic. If you’re comparing this place to Zippys or anything like that, then go there shut up. This place makes all their food with love, that beats anything opened after hours to me, no 7/11, McDonald’s, no fast food place can compete that.

If you disappoint by price and saying trying to support local, 🤐 and leave. Grateful for the open late night serving good food. I always get Patele stew and laulau never fails. …
