Daiichi Ramen Pearl City
About
A Local Staple for Comfort Bowls
When you find yourself cruising through the heart of Pearl City, Daiichi Ramen serves as a reliable harbor for those seeking a quick, satisfying noodle fix. This spot moves at a brisk pace, capturing the functional, no-nonsense energy of a classic neighborhood ramen shop. The air inside is perpetually warm, thick with the savory, deeply aromatic steam rising from simmering tonkotsu and shoyu broths.
Signature Slurps and Flavors
The kitchen leans into traditional Japanese preparation, focusing on long-simmered bases that provide a substantial foundation for their wheat noodles. Locals often gravitate toward the signature spicy ramen or the classic katsu curry bowls, which are known for generous portions that easily fill you up after a morning exploring Oahu’s central districts. The broth has a depth that comes from hours of dedication, and the snap of the noodles remains consistent even as you reach the bottom of the bowl.
The Pearl City Vibe
Don't go expecting an intimate, candlelit dinner; this is a space built for high-turnover fuel. Expect the clatter of ceramic against laminate tables and the hum of kitchen staff working through a steady flow of orders. It is a fantastic choice for a solo lunch or a casual weeknight meal when you want to bypass the pretension of more upscale dining halls. One minor quirk to keep in mind: the shared parking lot in this central commercial hub can get quite competitive during the peak lunch hour, so give yourself a few extra minutes to slide into a spot. Whether you are a frequent visitor to the island or a resident looking for a consistent, savory routine, these bowls hit the mark with reliable, down-to-earth flavor.

One of our favorie ramen spots. Very fresh ingredients and packed full of flavor. Definitely a go to spot if you want ramen. The mapo tofu is also really good on their crispy noodles.

I visited for the first time yesterday and loved it! I ordered the mochiko chicken, which was delicious. The place was busy, with people waiting outside, but I didn’t have to wait as I sat on the bar-side seating, which gave a great vibe. They also have regular tables, but I enjoyed the bar-style atmosphere. Overall, a great experience—I’ll definitely come back and recommend it!

After a medical procedure in Pearl City, we decided to grab lunch at Daiichi Ramen. The food here was really good and the service was great. My mom really enjoyed Shrimp curry. Generous portions- crispy light battered shrimp and curry with nice chunky well cooked veggie pieces. My Mochiko chicken was yummy. Lots of flavor with the spices. My husband had the Pork fried rice with a side order of Chicken Katsu which he liked and we all three shared croquettes and gyoza. The gyoza was full of flavor and very tasty. The croquettes were good- I prefer them more on the crispy side, but it’s a minor thing. Staff was very nice & helpful. Packed my order nicely in a box taped down well for the ride home in the truck and opened the door for me to leave. The Inside was small but clean and parking was decent- gets much busier during lunchtime of course, so come earlier if decide to check it out. Mahalo for reading and have a Beautiful Day! 😄🤙
