Cattle Company Steakhouse
About
A Neighborhood Staple in Pearl City
Stepping into Cattle Company Steakhouse feels like walking into a time capsule of local comfort. Located right in the heart of Pearl City, this spot has long served as a go-to gathering place for families and those looking for a hearty, no-frills meal after a long day. The interior is unpretentious, defined by warm lighting and a layout that prioritizes function over flash, making it an ideal setting for casual birthdays or weekday dinners.
The Flavor Profile
The menu leans heavily into classic American steakhouse traditions with a local touch. The prime rib remains a consistent favorite, often ordered by regulars who appreciate the generous portions and the slow-roasted tenderness that pairs perfectly with a side of horseradish. You will find that the garlic cheese bread is an essential precursor to any main course here—it is hard to resist the aroma that wafts from the kitchen as soon as you walk through the doors.
What to Expect
While the service is prompt and friendly, the atmosphere can get quite lively, especially on weekends when the dining room fills up with residents from across the Leeward coast. It is worth noting that the parking lot can get a bit cramped during peak hours, so you might want to arrive a few minutes early to secure a spot. Whether you are looking to refuel with a massive plate of protein or simply want a relaxed environment to catch up with friends, this steakhouse offers a straightforward, satisfying experience that stays true to its roots in the Pearl City community.

Food and service used to be decent here. Came in on a slow day for an early Father’s Day and the server was just super annoyed we were there. He set things down really hard several times. Didn’t check on us at all and seemed more interested in talking to coworkers and watching the World Cup than being our server. I don’t know if he just made unfair assumptions about us based on how we’re dressed or something (it’s hawai’i ffs—nothing wrong with T-shirt and shorts) and maybe assumed we wouldn’t tip well or something? Whatever it was, his whole attitude changed when he realized it was Father’s Day when he tried to hand my dad the check and I took it and explained why I was paying. He was immediately more attentive and nice. But kind of too little too late at that point, we were already done with the meal. I still tipped what was expected—my dad thought I shouldn’t have for the treatment we got. He was pretty upset. So much for Father’s Day lunch. And the food was… Not like it used to be. We used to come here for Father’s Day every year. Stopped around covid. But the food is just not worth the price anymore. My dad’s steak was overcooked. My mash potatoes were sad, dense, and lumpy. This is food I would pay maybe $15 a plate for at a restaurant. Not $30+. Will not be coming back. Clearly there was a change in management and whoever is in charge doesn’t care to run a nice restaurant anymore. We will find a new steakhouse for Father’s Day in the future. 2 stars because at least the server wasn't being openly hostile. But I also just have a bit higher tolerance. If it was just me I probably wouldn’t have left a review. But y’all kind of ruined my dad’s day over stuff that’s like… Customer service 101.

We had a very pleasant experience dining at Black Angus for lunch! We availed of the lunch special and happy hour drinks. Ann was very attentive and took care of all our needs. She constantly checks on us and gave us superb recommendations. We had a better experience because of her. Enjoyed our food well.

I have not been to cattle company in ages but we used to come here a lot when i was younger, when they were called Stuart andersons. My mom guys still come here every so often and i was so excited when she picked this place as her birthday dinner restaurant! We had a fairly large party, 8 people, and Corey was hands down the best server. He brought us a 2nd round of bread as he noticed we were gonna devour that first round pretty quick - but come on, it’s that squaw with the whipped butter, thats the most irresistible kind!! Yum. He was also beyond ON IT with the water refills - we never once had to ask for water and all of us are pretty heavy water drinkers!! Corey was always checking on us to see if we needed anything, really excellent service. All our meals were exactly as we all ordered it (and how often does that happen when you have this many people?) and the servings were huuuuuge. I am happy to report i will have the most delicious lunch of leftovers tomorrow! Since we were here for my mom’s birthday, Corey brought their birthday cookie with ice cream for her and he didn’t just drop the dessert and leave, he even sang happy birthday with us! This place was just as i remember it, i always loved the high booths when i was little and i still love to sit there as an adult. The food was delicious and my favorite, the fried zucchini with cucumber dip, is STILL my favorite! Highly recommend coming here for a meal (make reservations!!), whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, out on a date, or are just in the mood for steak!

Upon entrance you just knew they had carpet, because you could smell it. It was a very funky, mildewy type smell. I know most steak house have carpet.... which is fine but it definitely has to be maintained..and in this case it's not. Once you get past the carpet, the service is good. The food was mid to say the least. Im talking about the flavor just getting up and leaving. Not a ink of seasoning on nothing. I could taste the sea on the lobster. I put my fork in the mac and cheese and it all came up at one time. Steak was dry.. which is crazy because it was medium-well. Won't go back

I honestly loved the ambient lighting and atmosphere. We were seated at a large booth and plenty of space for two people. The mocktails we ordered were huge which was nice especially with the price; definitely getting our bang for our buck. The Filet was actually really good and the portion sizes were good too! The employees were very friendly too and very welcoming. It was our first time there and it won’t be our last.

This is my third time trying this restaurant and it will definitely be the last. I got lunch to go with my office. I ordered the buffalo ranch chicken sandwich this time. Absolutely disgusting. 3 tiny chicken tenders (why isn’t it a full chicken breast???) with wilted brown lettuce, 2 pathetic slices of tomato and rock hard cold French fries. We ordered online and there is nowhere to add or subtract items from an individual order. I wanted to add onion but there’s nowhere to change your order. Tried calling 4 separate times and were never able to get through on the phone to let them know. Our office is 5 minutes from the restaurant so the fries and sandwich could at least be lukewarm? Everything they serve there is clearly frozen. I had shrimp last time and the same thing… hard, cold and unappetizing. The mac and cheese was the worst: somehow gritty and watery and of course cold. I have no idea how this place has 4 stars. To management: would YOU eat a sandwich that looks like this? To the kitchen staff: how on earth are you sending out food that looks like this? I know all your food is Cisco and frozen but come on, try to take a tiny bit of pride in your profession

Had dinner using the application special steak and lobster trio. What a deal. I always enjoy eating here mainly because it is always consistent. Not only is the food great but the service is also excellent. Our waitress Cody was just so efficient and friendly making our dinner complete. I have never been disappointed and have going here for years.

Haven’t been waited on Terry for a couple of years literally and the first thing she says is haven’t seen you both in a long time, how you been? Then miraculously she remembered me always wanting an extra cup of ice! How’s that possible. She went above and beyond helping us with the app for benefits too! Definitely going back next week for the deals and for Terry!

Hubby and I decided to come here for dinner since we have not been here in a while. Hubby liked his food. I got the Cobb salad 🥗 and it was okay. My salad seems like it had water. Our food took forever to get to us. The waitress and manager came and check up on us. Overall it is a nice place to have dinner.
