Black Angus Steakhouse - Pearl City
About
A Tradition of Midwestern Cuts in Pearl City
Stepping into Black Angus Steakhouse offers a familiar, reliable embrace for those craving a hearty meal after exploring the sights of Pearl City. The atmosphere balances the rugged charm of a classic ranch-style chop house with the relaxed, laid-back pace of Oahu life. It is the kind of place designed for family celebrations, date nights that require no pretension, or a post-work reprieve where the main priority is a well-seared piece of beef.
The Signature Cattleman’s Experience
The kitchen leans heavily into the tradition of open-flame grilling. Their signature slow-roasted prime rib is the centerpiece here, often served with a side of creamy horseradish that brings a sharp, sinus-clearing kick to the richness of the meat. You will smell the savory, charred aroma of seasoned steaks the moment the glass doors swing open, a scent that promises a classic American steakhouse experience.
A Local Perspective on the Dining Floor
While the service remains attentive, the space has a bustling energy. It is worth noting that the dining room can get quite loud during peak weekend hours, turning into a lively hub of clinking silverware and spirited conversation. If you happen to be visiting during the dinner rush, the parking lot off Kamehameha Highway can fill up quickly, so arriving a few minutes early is a smart play. The interior features deep, padded booths that provide a bit of privacy, making it easy to settle in for a long meal of loaded baked potatoes and hand-cut steaks. Whether you are craving the fire-grilled ribeye or a surf-and-turf pairing, this spot remains a cornerstone for classic, satisfying portions in the heart of the Leeward Coast.

We had a very pleasant experience dining at Black Angus for lunch! We availed of the lunch special and happy hour drinks. Ann was very attentive and took care of all our needs. She constantly checks on us and gave us superb recommendations. We had a better experience because of her. Enjoyed our food well.

I have not been to cattle company in ages but we used to come here a lot when i was younger, when they were called Stuart andersons. My mom guys still come here every so often and i was so excited when she picked this place as her birthday dinner restaurant! We had a fairly large party, 8 people, and Corey was hands down the best server. He brought us a 2nd round of bread as he noticed we were gonna devour that first round pretty quick - but come on, it’s that squaw with the whipped butter, thats the most irresistible kind!! Yum. He was also beyond ON IT with the water refills - we never once had to ask for water and all of us are pretty heavy water drinkers!! Corey was always checking on us to see if we needed anything, really excellent service. All our meals were exactly as we all ordered it (and how often does that happen when you have this many people?) and the servings were huuuuuge. I am happy to report i will have the most delicious lunch of leftovers tomorrow! Since we were here for my mom’s birthday, Corey brought their birthday cookie with ice cream for her and he didn’t just drop the dessert and leave, he even sang happy birthday with us! This place was just as i remember it, i always loved the high booths when i was little and i still love to sit there as an adult. The food was delicious and my favorite, the fried zucchini with cucumber dip, is STILL my favorite! Highly recommend coming here for a meal (make reservations!!), whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, out on a date, or are just in the mood for steak!

I honestly loved the ambient lighting and atmosphere. We were seated at a large booth and plenty of space for two people. The mocktails we ordered were huge which was nice especially with the price; definitely getting our bang for our buck. The Filet was actually really good and the portion sizes were good too! The employees were very friendly too and very welcoming. It was our first time there and it won’t be our last.
