Verde Restaurant

Good food, service and atmosphere. Portions were large and we could easily have split a burrito and been full. The pork tacos were amazing and the chicken burrito was as well. Chips and guacamole were yummy.

Traveled to this beautiful island yesterday. On our way back to the airport we stopped here and had the Fish Tacos. They were hands down some of the best Fish Tacos we have ever had. Perfect balance and the spiced pickled vegetables on the side put them over the top. Service was excellent. Cannot wait to return to get these again. These have set the bar against any fish tacos in or future.

This restaurant came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. The shrimp tacos were out of this world, as were the burritos, guacamole, salsa, etc. Even better, the staff accommodated our tight timeline to get to the airport. They were Incredibly friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend this step if you’re staying in Lihue or if you’re just coming, you’re going from the airport. This will become a regular stop when we are visiting the island!

The best Mexican on Kauai! AND top Mexican food I've had ever. The lobster tacos are seasonal so you can't get them all the time. They were amazing! Mahi mahi burrito & chips and guac were delicious too! We will definitely be coming back

We were expecting this restaurant to be good but, wow, it really exceeded expectations. Friendly staff and great food. Pricey tacos but, hey, Taco Bell is down the street, if you want, and this is the primo gourmet version. For the taco plate selections you can mix and match the different shells and fillings for a unique combo. We had a mahi mahi (fish) taco and a "plant based" veggie one. Ulu (breadfruit) and kalo (taro) tortillas. Super rico! A great place to come if you have a vegan or vegetarian in your group, too.

Best Mexican Food on the island. Dont be fooled by strip mall location. Kim and other staff work hard to give you a great experience. Grab some friends and go get a pitcher of Mango Margaritas or go alone and get a flight of margaritas so you can try them all. Food is excellent feels very farm to table. My favorite is Stacked Enchiladas Christmas Style. Lastly you have to get the Ube Churros!

Day trip to Kuai brought us to Verde. The Garlic Shrimp Tacos were amazing. Two good sized tacos. I also had a side order of Mexican street corn that I split with my daughter which was perfectly seasoned with just the right kick to it. It was definitely enough to share. My husband had two carne tacos which were also delicious and flavorful. The service was fast and food was delivered hot and fresh in a short time from ordering.

Such good food! Fresh & delicious. Very unique fusion cultures food. The Mahimahi furikake fish tacos and garlic shrimp tacos were spectacular! The street corn was also a fan favorite. There were plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The service was fast and friendly. They gave great recommendations. Highly recommend.

We arrived close to opening so there was no waiting. Wife ordered furakake mahimahi with pickled onions and cucumber burrito. I had the blue cheese steak with chimichuri sauce quesadilla. Both had nice unique flavors not your typical mexican fare. Our appitizer was gaucamole and chips. It was a pleasant lunch. Service was prompt.

Very well appointed restaurant with super casual vibe and tastefully done ambience. A nice bar area seems to be good to catch a game and yet have some families eating at the tables. We went there to get lunch before printer of the plantation train ride. The portions are too small, the chips were store bought. But the tacos were OK. The tacos we had at Tiki Tacos were so much better. The service was kinda slow too. All in all, passable for a bite but they need to get their kitchen in order first.
