Aloha Craft Cafe
About
Sip the Spirit of Kauai in Lihue
Stepping into Aloha Craft Cafe, you immediately catch the scent of freshly roasted beans swirling with the humid, floral air of Lihue. This isn’t just another quick caffeine stop; it’s a corner of the island where the pace slows down just enough to notice the whir of the grinders and the steady murmur of locals planning their surf sessions. The space is bright and airy, channeling a modern Hawaiian aesthetic that feels welcoming rather than curated.
The Local Flavor Profile
The menu highlights the island's bounty, moving well beyond standard drip coffee. If you find yourself in the heart of Kauai’s commercial hub, their signature lattes, often infused with house-made syrups, are the draw. They balance local macadamia nut notes with bold roasts that pack enough punch to power a drive up to the North Shore. The food selection is lean, focusing on quick bites like fresh pastries and locally-inspired bowls that disappear from the display case long before the afternoon slump hits.
What to Expect
The atmosphere leans into a casual, communal energy. It is an ideal spot for remote workers or travelers waiting for their next flight, though it is worth noting that parking in the immediate vicinity can get tight during peak morning hours. Don't be surprised if the line stretches out the door on weekends—the staff moves with a practiced, island-time efficiency that gets the job done without losing that signature aloha spirit. Grab a cold brew, find a seat by the window, and watch the steady rhythm of Lihue life pass by.

The customers and staff were so kind. They raved about their garlic sauce and the best way to use their garlic was with hot sauce. And they were right!! I doused my turkey pesto melt with the garlic hot sauce 🔥. It was delicious. The breakfast burrito was good! There’s a lot of eggs in the burrito but the downside was that the eggs were overcooked.

Strong coffee, delicious banana pudding, sandwiches wonderful. The family owned cafe currently is in the reception room of an office building, don’t be alarmed you’ll be greeted by the most hospitable people and loving atmosphere. The little hole in the wall cafe is a must. Talk story was the highlight, got to learn about the local highlights, history and a detailed step by step process of the traditional salt pans harvesting. Best family, HAWAIIAN OWNED establishments. Five stars!

My name is now Fredrick, courtesy of Jaysie. Besides that the whole atmosphere and service was immaculate, the surrounding was very welcoming 10/10 and Megan… she did good, “if you don’t know what you want, don’t worry! Megan she got you”-JJ and Megan definitely delivers. So if you’re in need of a good breakfast, stop on by Aloha Craft Cafe a fresh new identity from Jaysie, and Megan.. she got you!

Sandwiches were okay. I think they needed a bit of flavor - it was slightly lacking. We got the burrito and the breakfast sandwich: Coffee was great!

We loved it so much so we came back twice during our five days trip. The tuna melt sandwich is so yummy and the drinks(my iced americano) are the best. Also they served multiple organic items for the food and the price is very reasonable.

Great local cafe with really good breakfast options. Worth seeking out. Best breakfast egg sandwich I've had in a long time and the lox and bagel sandwich is loaded. Coffee is good too. If you come on Fridays, you may get serenaded.

My boyfriend and I got a breakfast burrito (Portuguese sausage), bagel sandwich, and malasada! All super tasty and flavorful! For drinks I got something simple, cold brew with oat milk and the boyfriend got an açaí smoothie. The smoothie was smooth, thick and refreshing, perfect for the hot weather. The owners and employees were very welcoming and gave us recommendations on places to visit. Highly recommend! And will be back.

Great spot for a quick bite. This place is well known for its banana pudding which was amazing! Place is located in a weird spot which is in the lobby of a office building behind the post office so it took us a few minutes to find. Well worth it though. I got the lox bagel which was made well.
