Waikiki Brewing Company, South Side
About
Sun-Drenched Sips in South Kihei
When you find yourself craving a pint after a long morning chasing waves along the Maui coastline, the South Side location of Waikiki Brewing Company serves as the ultimate local reprieve. This open-air outpost brings the island’s craft beer culture directly to the shores of Kihei. The space embraces a casual, industrial-meets-tropical aesthetic where the clinking of glasses competes with the sound of the trade winds.
The Brews and Bites
The beer list is Hawaiian brewing, featuring staples like the award-winning Hana Hou Hefe and the crowd-favorite Skinny Jeans IPA. The menu moves well beyond typical bar snacks; the smoked brisket nachos and the signature brewery-style burgers are designed to soak up those heavy hops. You will often hear the hum of conversation blending with the upbeat playlist that keeps the energy high, even when the heat of the afternoon peaks.
A Local Hangout
It is worth noting that while the seating is plentiful, the parking lot can get a bit cramped during the bustling happy hour rush, so consider walking over if you are staying at one of the nearby resorts. The staff moves with a relaxed island pace, perfect for those who want to spend the entire afternoon nursing a flight of locally crafted brews. Whether you are a dedicated hop-head or just looking for a cool spot to escape the sun, this spot remains a reliable anchor for residents and visitors alike in South Maui.

Waikiki Brewing Company is a solid tourist spot. We stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon for happy hour and it was the perfect way to spend an afternoon. The buffalo chicken wings were smoked and crispy. The piña colada was great too, and our server was friendly and attentive throughout. Pricing was reasonable, especially during happy hour. A great spot for catching a game, grabbing a drink, and enjoying some solid bar food. I would go back.

Waikiki Brewing Company offers a wide range of meals. The atmosphere is open air dining with sports playing on the TV monitors. We had fish tacos “catch of the day” and coconut shrimp with fried rice. The fish tacos were good. The fish was fresh, hot but had a little too much teriyaki sauce. The coconut shrimp and fried rice was excellent. The prices are a little high, but the portion sizes are good. They also offer a wide variety of adult beverages. The service is good. We were there early on a Saturday evening and no issues getting a table.

Solid choice with gast and friendly service. Specialty drinks and happy hour Specials with plenty of time to catch a game on one of the many television. This was once Hamburger Parade and with exception of craft brews and no weekday breakfast hours still a solid choice. Nice weekend brunch - Good coffee - Loco Moco yummy, but skip the macaroni salad - Steak and eggs... good eggs. Steak cooked perfect, but a good 25% was thick fat and made it a bit pricey for the cut. Id skip again. Definitely recommended
