About
Fresh Catches in the Heart of South Maui
Located just blocks from the sparkling Pacific shores in Kihei, Market serves as a go-to hub for those who prioritize ocean-to-table freshness. This isn't your typical sit-down tourist trap; it operates with the efficiency of a high-end deli blended with the soul of a neighborhood fish market. You will likely smell the hint of brine and toasted garlic as soon as you step inside, where the daily catch is prominently displayed in chilled cases.
The Poke and Plate Lunch Experience
The kitchen leans heavily into island traditions, known primarily for their rotating selection of poke bowls and hearty plate lunches. Whether you opt for the shoyu-marinated ahi or the spicy crab salad, the quality of the fish remains the focal point. It is the perfect stop for a quick lunch before hitting the nearby beaches or picking up provisions for a sunset picnic.
Local Nuance
The space is functional and modest, keeping the overhead low so the quality of the ingredients can stay high. Be prepared for a bit of a shuffle during the busy lunch hour, as the small floor plan often results in a line that spills out toward the parking area. It is a no-frills, loud, and bustling environment that appeals to residents who know exactly what they want. If you are looking for white tablecloths, look elsewhere, but if you want the most authentic fish wrap in this part of Maui, this is your destination.

Great food and efficient service. We ordered the blackened mahi mahi and the seafood pasta, and both were excellent. The place has a lively atmosphere, but everything runs smoothly. Fresh seafood, great flavors, and a very enjoyable experience.

This has got to be the best meal we had on our weeklong stay in Maui. The flavour is excellent, portions are decent, and fish doneness is perfect. This is a very popular place so expect a lineup — we went for dinner on a Saturday and we lined up for almost an hour. It was worth the wait though.

Tender, buttery grilled fish. Was absolutely worth the ~30min we waited for it. The best part is all of the fish types and preparation styles. Can't go wrong with any of the Fresh Catch plates. Will definitely have to come back and try more!
